On 6Sept 2023 Handyman East charged me $855.78 to repair a 10 inch by 13 inch in my shower wall. I provided the tile and they provided the cement board which is $15 at the box stores. They asked for $150 deposit, they charged a $65 service trip fee, The materials charge was $83.85, I provided the tile for the 10 inch by 13 inch and they provided the cement board.. They charged 3% convince fee of immediately charging your credit card once they are done. The charged me for 5.5 hours to fix a 10 inch by 13 inch hole in a shower wall which had been cut out cleanly by a plumber. The technician left my house for 1 hour and spent a lot of time elsewhere. I do not believe it takes 5.5 hours to fix a 10 inch by 13 inch clean cut hole in a shower wall. It should not have cost $855.78, especially when I asked for an estimate. First they said $300-&400 then when I asked again at the end of the conversation they said , $600. They played the taped conversation back to me but, not the conversation from the beginning of the tape. Be very aware of hidden fees. Do you believe it takes 5.5 hours to fix a 10 inch by 13 inch hole. They charge &180 the first hour and add on to the price every 15 minutes. They wanted $300 more to come back the next day to grout the 10 inch by 13 inch area I have a copy of my invoice and a picture of the area prior to its repair. Beware of extra fees. Beware of hidden charges.

BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES. When I called the company I was told their hourly rate. However, after the work was completed and I received the invoice, there were other charges I was not told about (Fuel Surcharge $11.50 and Service Charges & Fees - Trip Fee $55.00). Even though I was not told about these charges prior to the work being completed, the company refused to give me a refund for them.
