This company took our deposit for work but never started anything. We gave the owner ********* a downpayment to do work on a house and he never showed up after multiple calls/text with no answers. He cashed the check and when we tried to get the deposit back he quit answering us. I would never recommend him to anyone. He came off really professional and had pictures of work that looked good, but soon as he got our deposit he quit answering and cashed the check and now we are out thousands of dollars.

In response to Apex Construction's ***************************, I would like to offer a timeline of events starting with a quote for scope of work dated May 23, 2024, which Apex Construction accepted and subsequently submitted a down payment, instead of the requested scheduling deposit. Idon't schedule a start date until I receive the scheduling deposit and they were informed that I was in the process of finishing two large scale projects, at which point ************************* (the other partner) stated "whenever you can get to it is fine, there's no hurry, the house is vacant", so no firm start date was scheduled. I cashed the check to buy materials, and as time in my schedule allowed, picked up materials and dropped them off at the job site. In the meantime, per the contract, Apex was to have all finish materials on site before I was to begin work, so that I could work straight through once work commenced, and not have to wait on delivery of material. They had no finish materials at the house. When I notified ************************* of a start date, which was June 30, on June 29 as I was dropping off more materials I needed to start work that weekend, I went to the house in question and discovered that I was locked out of the job. There was a notice on the property placed by First Allegiance that the 'property was found to be unsecure and that entry was strictly prohibited by unauthorized persons', and the lockbox had been removed. I have documentation on this. I have a log of the many texts, emails and phone calls exchanged over the course of the six weeks in question, so ******' statement that I never called and never showed up is simply not true. Apparently there had been no communication between ****** and his partner, *************************, who was my point of contact. am a professional, I have had very good working relationships with my customers over the years with many glowing letters of recommendation. In fact, I completed a very large bathroom project for *************************** and his wife last year which they were very happy with under C.M. Precision Construction LLC. Here is what ***************************** had to say: ************* Construction completely remodeled by master bathroom and turned it into a spa-like retreat! They listened to what I had imagined and made it a reality! Every time they came to work, they were very considerate of keeping the space clean and still livable during construction. They are easy to work with and got the job done in a timely manor. I highly recommend them!'I did this project start to finish after ****** asked ****** he could do this job, **** said he could not handle a job of that magnitude and referred ****** to me. Interestingly enough, Apex did not exist when I did this project, they came into existence as of July 19, 2023, and this job was done in May of 2023. Apex Construction is a brand new company, with very little construction experience.I had no control of the project lock-out, was not provided the finish materials per the contract, and therefore could not do the job due to Apex Construction's breach of contract. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

Plane and simple he took 26k didn't perform the work and kept the entire 26k besides $500-$600 in drywall material he left. There were many texts with the company saying they were going to start but was kept being pushed back. At some point we had to pull the job and give it to someone else. Asked for the money back or to work something out and no response was given. Company still currently has the full 26k. I never known a company to not give money back for work not performed let alone started. As they stated the company did perform a great bathroom renovation for myself and worked on multiple projects for us in the past. We had no reason to believe he wouldn't give us our money back once we realized he wasn't going to start the project in the time frame we discussed. We tried to work something out with him to preform the 26k of work or just give us the money back besides materials bought and he just quit answering calls/texts. For a company to take and cash a check with no work performed is highly unprofessional and then quit communicating.
