      They deposited my refund into a closed account since I didn’t go to school at this college anymore. They emailed me the same day to go onto the school website to change my direct deposit and I did. I find out later that the transaction was rejected by ***** since the account wasn’t active anymore. I went to the bank and they provided me with the statement saying both dated when the money was rejected and when money reversed. I showed that to the school to put that in my file, because I’m not spending anymore money for mailing correspondence with this stupid ECSI when this company is way behind the curve in technology. I called them more than several times and everyone seemed to be lost, didn’t know what happened. And finally I got to someone saying it’d take 45-60 days to process it the affidavit they requested me to send in which none of the options they have on the form related to me. This is a real piece of s*it company and employed a lot of dumb people.

      Settlement of loan allocation is a manual process for hundreds of educational facilities, or is done with inaccurate event driven calculations. ********* ECSI does not provide timely notice of an error on the account, you have a less than 10 day window to make payments and notice a problem with a payment. If there is a problem, notice is sent out by paper mail. There is no instant electronic notification (part of their business model, judging by the reviews). If payment is accepted but for whatever reason the payee's bank returns the payment request, an NSF charge is applied to the **** account. If you have two loan accounts under one **** account, one loan will be charged not the other. If your payment was more than the minimum payment, debt is reallocated to one account more than the other, causing a delinquency to filed in the reporting that is done by the 19th of each month. This will cause a credit report to be sent out to the credit bureaus with inaccurate payment history (30 days late on 1 account, not the other in the same ECSI account paid on the same due date). The university I'm repaying, also stated in one of the paper letters I received, that they are not charging late fees. NSF fees are charged as late fees on my account anyway, but worse of it all, I'm still dealing with *********************************** to remove a late payment from July 2023. This incident has occurred multiple times, at least three complaints have been filed to Transunion because I was not 30 days past due. I was looking to purchase property before the July 2023 incident. I never felt comfortable that I would get an affordable mortgage after my credit score took a hit again. It's an uphill battle to make things right every time. I have to wait months in between requests because reporting is done monthly. I hope someone audits their systems for accuracy when payments are returned.

      Such a terrible company. I have a lot of patience but it definitely ran out with them. They make so many errors and every time I call, they all say something different. I have to apply for loan deferment and cancellation 2-4 times each year because no one is on the same page. I had a letter from 1 of my employers stating I was working full-time but was denied and told that the hours needed to be listed. I sent again with hours and was denied because 32 hours a week isnt considered full time. Luckily had a second job that when combined added to 40 hours. I sent in employee verification from both and was denied because it needed to be full-time with 1 employer. I told her I am full-time at 32 hours per week plus the rep told me I could have two employers. I had two employers in the past and was approved. She then said to have my employer send a letter stating I am full-time instead of putting the hours. My jaw almost dropped to the floor. I sent in my application 4 times that year because no one was on the same page and I honestly felt like they were making things up. This year I had everything perfect. I spoke to someone who said everything was received within the 40 day window. They ended up sending me to collections because my paperwork was not received within 40 days, then she said it was because they didnt receive a letter from one of my employers, then it was the other employer, then it was that I was missing letterhead, stamp and seal, then it was because I didnt send my professional license in. Every time I proved her wrong shE came up with a different excuse. Its like their mission is to deny qualified people loan cancellation. I could seriously go on forever. They once sent me a letter stating that I had a payment due in October but could reapply for cancellation. So, I applied and after getting rejected twice, she told me I wasnt supposed to apply till April. So pay or default on missed payments from October to April? She couldnt answer.
