St ****'s likes to go behind the family of the patients back and not check the patient my chart to see that any appointment was set up. We had an appointment set up and the primary care physician that we use called to discuss some tests, but never bothered to tell us they put in a referral for an appointment with another physician which wound up cancelling a serious medical appointment for the patient who has heart issues. There was NO reason to put in the referral before speaking to us or the patient to confirm whether or not we already had any form of appointment scheduled for the patient. We had to find out the hard way that the patients appointment that was supposed to be for today 7/2/24 had been cancelled when the specialist called and asked if we wanted to reschedule an appointment we never requested be cancelled in the first place! So now instead of the patient having there appointment today 7/2/24 at 3 pm which had been scheduled for a WEEK, the patient is NOW having to goto the specialist at 9:45 AM 7/3 because the primary drs office staff neglected to verify anything in the patient records or charts before messing up a patient's scheduled visit. Next time before the primary dr screws with a patients scheduled appointments CALL THE PATIENT first before messing with their MyChart.

Our experience was in the Monroe campus!! My name is Shalin M**** and My husband visited the St Lukes ER and Pocono Medical ER back in 2017 for extreme pain which we believed to be a tick bite, they ran numerous test and couldn't find anything wrong, said they would call with the Lyme test results ama sent us home. Few days later they called with positive Lyme results and told us that his type of Lyme was going to cause pain, muscle pain, tiredness ect. With flareups Basically for the rest of his life and there's nothing that can be done. So whenever my husband had pain and exhausting we just assumed it was Lyme.. fast forward to 2021 hubby had extreme leg, hip pain and excruciating headaches and a soft spot in his skull so we went to St. Luke's Er monroe.. after testing they informed us that he has stage 4 metastatic lung cancer... fast forward 2 weeks after treatment we are called in to be told that unfortunately he had lung nodules in 2017 when he went to the ER and they missed it in his scans and they were very sorry... really? In 4 years you didn't realize he had cancer and now he's terminal!!! They could have saved him with a simple surgery and low chemo back then and now he's terminal.. Please check your records, check your scan results from prior years, if there are nodules listed and you weren't told get them checked and call a lawyer.. these Doctors don't care, there is zero remorse for what they've done to my husband and our family. They've destroyed our lives!! And Pocono Medical(lvhn) missed it too when he was there 3 weeks earlier.. the scans showed lesions and nodules, and the radiologist specifically noted to ER staff to notify us of nodules and schedule follow-ups but the ER Dr never mentioned a word of it and both he and my husband signed discharge papers with no mention of follow-ups or nodules/lesions.. it is written clear as day on the radiology report (which of course we never saw until recently) check your records bc they clearly don't!!

The above concern has been escalated to the proper area for handling. The patient will be contacted directly to discuss

Horribly run hospital & physician group. I was an employee, then made the mistake of going out on disability and then they didn’t want me back. Maybe had something to do with the information I gave to them about the office I worked in and the drs inappropriate relationships with their female assistants, which was one of the reasons I went out on disability. HR doesn’t care what happens in the offices. I was told I couldn’t come back AFTER they asked me to disclose what I knew about the office I was in. Peculiar huh? So much for the equal opportunity employment. I thought employees wouldn’t be retaliated agains for raising HUGE concerns. My suggestion? Go anywhere but St Luke’s. I 100% guarantee they don’t care about anyone but themselves. Without a doubt, one of the shadiest places I’ve ever worked. People in my office constantly complained about patients. I guarantee, when you leave their offices, they will talk about you. And it’s not good.
