      It is impossible to tell in words what an awful experience it has been to work with **** Moving and Storage for my move from ********** to ************, **. The people they hired were totally careless. Many items of furniture were scratched and damaged. They broke two shelves off of an expensive cherry bookcase, scratched a dining room table, put a large ding in an armoire, put a ding in the wall of a new home, lost the hardware to an item they took apart--just to name a few. They lied on the inventory papers and said my furniture was faded and scratched and badly worn at pickup. All of this is untrue. They did not give me the inventory papers so I could object to this. Several days later I got them by email and I saw they had forged my name. The papers were such a mess and so incorrect that I did not know how to fill them out. When I called for help, I got rudeness and condescending attitude from them. I asked for return calls and never got them. When I got ahold of the regional manager, he would not let me talk, was very rude to me , called ME rude, and then hung up on me. My invoice was incorrect twice--overcharging me. I had to dispute charges with my bank to get any refund. It is now 6 weeks since I moved and I cannot move into my new home because so much furniture is damaged and I have to wait for their people to assess the damage and it will likely be 6 months before all is done. They are one of the worst companies I have ever encountered and I so regret ever doing business with them. I would give 0 stars if that were an option.

      1) Poor communication. *When we experienced shipping delays, we communicated with **** that we understood these things can happen & our only request was to be kept updated. This did not happen & when we attempted to reach ****, they stopped answers our calls, voice ****************** 2) Poor packing and destruction of property, many items are irreplaceable. *Heirlooms and vintage furniture arrived without any wrapping/blanket padding & items were stacked on top of other items, causing dents, broken ************** to be smashed. *Our childs custom Lego table was torn apart & flat Lego boards that were superglued to the table were ripped off. This egregious behavior was completely unnecessary & the table was destroyed. We had discussed the specifics of moving of our childs Lego table with the crew lead & we were reassured that these instructions would be followed. After our childs Lego table left our home, it was destroyed sometime at **** Storage. Who would do that to a kid? *Living room lamps were placed in garden containers amongst shovels, *****, & unwrapped ceramic pots. The wiring of the lamps was destroyed. Our indoor air purifier & space heater were thrown into an unpacked garden box with the garden hose, & unwrapped ceramic pot., Many boxes arrived smashed, dented or torn apart. 3) We were overcharged. Our moving costs included 2 components: weight and # of boxes that **** packed. *Many boxes were partially/half-packed & fluffed w/ packing paper, which increased our costs. *Our **** was charged the estimate, long before our shipment had been weighed. We also were overcharged for the # of boxes packed by ****. When attempting to resolve this with ****, our calls & messages were not answered or returned. Ultimately, we engaged **** to dispute the charge and **** reversed the difference.4) Dealing w/ the claims process is a part-time job. It is time-consuming, frustrating slow, & fraught w/ denials then appeals.
