BBB Northwest + Pacific has
received many complaints from consumers alleging telemarketing issues, however,
this business advised BBB of the following:
“National Warranty Corporation does not make telemarketing calls and
does not use a third party to make such telemarketing calls on its
behalf. However, it has come to our attention that competing
businesses or marketers improperly identifying themselves as “National Warranty
Company” have been calling consumers. Because such companies use the
generic “National Warranty Company” name, if a consumer does an internet search
for “National Warranty Company,” the consumer sees contact information for
National Warranty Corporation for the top entries.
National Warranty Corporation has tried diligently to identify the entity or
entities behind the calls but unfortunately to date has not been able to do
so. We have tracked and investigated several calls, but the numbers
have been spoofed. None of the calls were made by or on behalf of
National Warranty Corporation. For many of the calls, the number that
shows on the caller ID leads only to a recording about being placed on a Do Not
Call list, with no ability to speak to a live person.
National Warranty Corporation will continue its efforts to identify the companies
or marketers behind the calls and will do everything possible to have the calls
stopped. If you can provide us with any information that may help in
eliminating these calls please contact Suzanne Moon, our legal counsel, at
