Northwest Storage 202nd, is allowing homeless people to hangout all hours of the night at this facility. Homeless people showing up 8:45 pm to 9pm unloading garbage bags, after garbage bags out of vehicles. Homeless hanging out on bikes in the facility. Homeless hanging out in empty units with blankets and watching TV. Same night I discovered my stuff stolen. Possible people living in units on site. Vehicles Piggy backing out of the facility 3 vehicles at a time. I have seen people walking out of the storage unit with a back pack and nothing else. Vehicles parked in front of units all day, to me shows people living in the unit. Gates are not locked after hours, stuff not monitored at all day or night , no one walking the property to check things, the doors to building A are being left wide open outside door, and 2nd floor stair way, cause elevator broken. Anyone with a gate code can access building A, elevator has been broken for 12 days since my break in discovered. . I have requested for over a year to get the door code fixed and no one has fixed it. Community has stated thefts took place in August 2024 back to ******* entire unit has been wiped out of my kids dad belonging passed down from him passing away, and Over $21,000 of non replaceable stuff. Electronics, tools, collectibles, lego, past down from my kids deceased father gone. 2/9.There is THEIFS RENTING AT THIS FACILITY, AND THEIFS GETTING INTO THE FACILITY. Or There is THEIFS either living on premises, or renting there or Inside jobs of theft going on at this location. Property Manager Savana didn't seem too concerned when I advised her of cut panels on a unit, and attempted locks cuts, mine broken into. The storage units insurance is refusing to pay my insurance whoping $2000.00, because no forcible entry to my unit. As of today 2/20/25- security cameras footage hasn't been turned over to the police. 12 days after burglary. Make sure read your lease agreement because ***** stuff!

Do not store here unless you want your items stolen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Our storage unit was professionally packed in May, and we returned in August to check on our unit. Upon opening our unit, we immediately realized our unit had been ransacked and nearly every box had been opened. We immediately notified the front office staff who told us to reach out to the insurance company and file a claim. We filed a police report and insurance report that same day. We had photo and video evidence of how the intruder(s) got into our unit and before/after photos/videos of the unit. Numerous items were stolen and broken, which we documented in the police reports. Despite all the evidence, the insurance company has continuously denied any fault and refuses to pay us out the measly $2k. The storage unit staff were unhelpful to us and the insurance company and admitted that the only security cameras in the building point towards the elevator and not down the hallway of the storage unit. There is no one watching the front desk sign-in sheet, so there is no accountability from the storage unit staff or insurance company. Also worth mentioning, the building reeks of rat poison, and the units are not cleaned before they rent them out. Youre essentially paying for zero security and guaranteed theft.

DO NOT rent and store vehicles at NW self storage in The Dalles, OR....there is very few camera's in place. It is constantly broken in to through the metal fence. Our catalytic converter was stolen a couple of years ago off of our RV and other persons RV. Last night our little camper trailer and small sailboat was broken in to, ransacked and things stolen. Yes, the police came out. I talked to the manager and told him what happened and if we could see any video footage....Nope...it so happens there are not any camera's on that side of the building. Last year the gate was broken for months and months - which meant anyone could just drive in the storage place and do what they wanted. Trying to find out who the owner is has been a nightmare. They are corporate and don't share the information. Terrible company who is just raking in the dollars and don't give a shit.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!We recently rented a storage unit and received $40 rent increase just 3 months after we started renting. It basically went from $120 to $160. We had previously had a storage unit with the same company and we received modest annual increases. We were great renters, always paid on time. So it was a shock when I inquired about why we received an increase so soon. We were told that the company now looks at raising rates every 9 months. Now of course, this makes no sense because we received an increase in 3 months so I'm waiting for a response as to why our rent went up in 3 months rather than 9 months. This was a huge raise in rent and the rate we rented for was NOT listed as a special deal or 3 month special. This company may have been sold and no longer cares about their renters. I will update this when I receive clarity about their policy but until then, it seems they are not looking for long-term loyal renters. Furthermore, the company is currently advertising the exact same size unit for $129. I've asked about moving our unit into one of those. Will update. Until they resolve this policy contradiction. I highly recommend NOT renting from them!!!

30% Increase after 3 months!! Asked up front and they would not tell me their rate increase policy.Stay away from here unless you plan for over 120% increase after the first year! They won't give you a lease, its a teaser rate they give you to get you into the facility and are pretty sure you won't leave them even if they raise your rent almost immediately after moving in. There are much better places to go than here, We need to band together and get ****** to prohibit this kind of activity. It should be made illegal or at least give you the opportunity to sign a lease to freeze your rate and prevent anything more than a reasonable 5% annual rate. June 6th,2024. *****

Beware bait and switch. My rate went up $26/month right after I rented a storage unit here (********* facility on HWY 212). It was not a general increase for all tenants, just my unit. Manager (****) was very evasive about the reason for the increase as far as why it wasn't a facility-wide increase. Her verbatim answer for two requests was: "All tenants will go through rental increases from time to time. Not all tenant are on the same date though." I have rented storage in this area for years, but not here. I have never had my rates increased more than $10/yr. Beware the up-front 'sweetheart deal' they will offer you, and then increase the price within a few months. Also, the place is a dump; lots of abandoned derelict vehicles being stored here, and the sheds are framed in with wood, so the reek like mold and mildew.
