On Aug. 19, I took our ** to Curtis Trailer in *****, **, to have the water heater repaired. It was there until October 5, except for a few hours on Aug. 26. They issued three separate work orders, ultimately resulting in the replacement of the water heater. Below is a summary of the actions taken under each work order: 1. A part in the freshwater system, unrelated to the water heater and in perfect working order, was replaced. There was no indication any work was done on the water heater. 2. After replacing 3 parts in the water heater, they informed me that the entire water heater needed replacing. They offered no credit for the $1000 bill to replace the 3 parts. I had believed that replacing the parts would fix the water heater. I would never have bet $1,000 that a $1,700 water heater.might not need replacing. 3. After escalating my complaint to the service manager, he agreed to cancel the $1000 bill and instead charge what it would have cost to diagnose and replace the entire water heater from the beginning.I believe I paid a fair price to have a working water heater again. My complaint is with what I discovered when I retrieved the *** Two of the three shut off valves connecting the water heater to the freshwater system were missing. One valve was replaced with a brass ****** that touches a 120v cable - a potentially dangerous situation.I know the shut-off valves were present when I dropped off the ** at Curtis . I had closed all three valves in the spring so we could still use the freshwater system even though the water heater leaked. They were still closed when the ** was dropped off.I can think of no valid reason why Curtis would remove the shut-off valves, so on October 6, I sent a picture to the service manager at Curtis, asking for an explanation. I have yet to receive a response. I would like an explanation for what happened to these valves and reassurance that my ** is free from any other surprises.

One year ago last week Oct 2 2022 we bought a 2019 Keystone Springdale from this Curtis Trailers in ********. During the transaction we informed the salesman, ***** that we were in the closing process of selling our house and would no longer be living there for the title to be mailed and we would call with a new address where we would be because temporarily living in the travel trailer was already planned out, but we didnt have the rv park address yet. Well ***** shipped the title to the address of the sold house anyway and the new owners signed for the package. We dont know why, or if they thought it was for them, but we didnt find out until more than a month later and were already out of the pacific NW region. A year later we are still waiting for the new title from Oregon DMV, which we dont even know well get, and because of all of this we havent been able to apply for trailer license plate with our new state licensing office, or even sell it because were without the title. All because ***** didnt want to listen to us and likely wanted to finish the paperwork processing related to the sale. Furthermore, the sales manager and front desk will hang up on you and refuse to answer the phone during business hours because of frustration and calls related to complaints.

      Dear BBB,

On September 13th, 2023, our Title Clerk sent them a Pre-filled out Lost Title Application because they did not complete correctly the first time. This is the resolution to solve the problem.  As good gesture we will reimburse them the $101.00 fee when they return by mail a copy of the receipt.

With that being said, we would like the BBB to also know that this customer was extremely rude to our receptionist yesterday and left a threatening/intimidating voicemail with the salesperson. Therefore, we will only work with them by mail or email. Proof of documents including the voicemail can be provided upon BBB request. Any further verbal abuse and we will take legal action.

      Sincerely,

      Management

I bought a Alliance in 2021 less then 2 years ago, weve had a numbers of issues. At 15 months the trailer literally fell apart and I paid $10,000 in repairs that were NOT user error. Poor craftsmanship isnt the consumers debt! To add insult to injury every individual that *** had to deal with had been unaccountable, untrustworthy and a bully. The trailer is still not fully functional after spending MONTHS in the hands of Curtis Trailer. The professionalism is non-existent, every person their has a issue with honesty and I regret my purchase. Alliance and Curtis Trailer should be ashamed of their lack of accountability and ethics. Their are ************ for not doing better.

We were railroaded by Curtis Trailers and the BBB did nothing to help us resolve our issues other than acting as a messenger back and forth!Case #******** with the BBB was closed without resolution. We were not given ample time to respond as we were appalled and dismayed with the response and unwarranted accusations from Curtis. What happened to customer service with honor and integrity? We were sold a 2022 Keystone Cougar with promises and expectations that were not kept, and a trailer that is subpar and falling apart. (Trim falling off of walls, a floor that bubbles, heat that doesn't work, etc.) We reached out within days of the sale and delivery with our concerns, but have had little to no follow through. The extended warranty we purchased has also proven to be nothing more than a piece of paper and more false promises. All we ask is that you stand behind your word and your product and make the repairs that should be covered through the factory warranty. Is that asking too much? This would have resolved the entire problem; fair, adequate, satisfactory customer service, period.
