Do not trust this brand with your money. It took over 6 months for me to finalize a distribution with them to due what seemed to be obvious incompetence or - worse - purposeful negligence; not to mention you have little to no control over your own investments or money when using their "***" ******* (which by the way, users can only contribute money after tax, but the account is categorized as a pre-tax/traditional *** account - have fun with your taxes!) and the returns on their "custom" investments are god awful compared to standard market returns. In my 3 years "investing" with Icon (if you can call them locking all my money in a poorly performing and seemingly inaccessible box "investing"), my account did not gain a single dollar beyond what was contributed. Normally, I'd chock this up to poor investment decisions, but ultimately since Icon provides you with so few decisions to begin with, it appears to me that whoever manages their assets has no idea how to out perform standard benchmark funds like the S&P/Nasdaq, etc.Overall: Terrible customer experience, even worse returns during one of the biggest market (following COVID), and ultimately it would not surprise me if is discovered that Icon has more/many shady business practices (including 6+ month distributions!)Stay away.
