  My *********** recently went on a WWII *****/****** tour with Alpventures, and It couldn't have been a more wonderful experience. Here's a bit about our journey:1.Personal Interests: My husband is passionate about WWII history, while I wasn't as familiar with it. However, I learned so much on the tour and was pleasantly surprised by how much we did that wasn't strictly WWII related. Now, I find myself more interested in WWII history and plan to learn more on my own. 2.Tony's Expertise: **** paid incredible attention to detail, ensuring that the experience was enjoyable for everyone. He made our group of 20 feel like family. 3. Accommodations: Each night, our accommodations were wonderful, featuring some of the most magnificent views I've ever seen.4. Extras and Insights: **** added so many extras to the trip that weren't advertised, which enriched our experience. he explained things so well that even someone like me, who was less knowledgeable, felt informed. At the same time, my husband, who knows a lot about WWII history, learned new things as well.Overall Experience: I can't say enough good about our trip. We are already looking forward to future trips with ****. It was a truly memorable experience!

  It's not often you go on a two week European tour with 20+ other people, and you leave feeling like you have just traveled with your family and best friends. That is what it is like touring with Alpventures. My mother, son, and I just returned for the Normandy to Eagle's Nest Tour and had the best experience. We made great friends on the trip and even better memories. Even before the tour began, **** was in communication with us, sending information to make our trip as stress free as possible (travel tips, language guides, site pamphlets, detailed itinerary, phone numbers, etc.). The constant attention to detail on the trip made everything run smoothly. The hotels were wonderful, comfortable and convenient to (most) towns. The breakfasts and included dinners were amazing and included authentic food from each area, as well as some choices of more comfort foods. We visited some of the typical sites, but **** made it feel as though we were the only group there. He also takes you to hidden gems you would never get on other tours. Suggestions for dinners in town, places to shop, extra sites to visit were always given. There is enough "down time" you don't feel rushed from place to place, and you really get to enjoy the towns/countries you visit. For me (a history teacher) and my 12 year old son (who loves history), this trip gave us more than we could have ever expected. We were able to learn more from ****, his experience of touring for 27 years, his first hand accounts from veterans, and his anecdotal stories that I could have ever learned in any book or course. My son and I are already planning our next tour with Alpventures and ****!

  There are not enough stars in the sky to rate Alpventures. Truly the best tour guide and tours in the world. And I mean that. We have been on 4 tours with **** and he never disappoints. The knowledge and stories of WWII are beyond expectations. I will never tour with anyone else. Alpventures all the way!!????

  Just completed the ******* - Normandy to the Eagles Nest Tour and it was fantastic! I'd give higher than 5 stars if possible. **** is not only the owner, but he guided the tour as well. He condensed several years of history down into a 14-day excursion. The service was top notch, hotels were great (including a stay at a chateau), and you cannot beat the sites. The real gem of the trip is ****; his knowledge and way of narrating/delivering the history through the facts and re-telling of accounts of veterans and others whose knowledge is lost to time was what made it all real. Anyone can go see the sites, but to hear the narrative with the personal touch is the icing on the cake. **** is very caring, experienced and personable; he wants to see everyone enjoy the trip. We went as an extended family of five (my parents, myself, my son and my nephew; so ages 72 down to 14) So if you are a ******* buff, or the spouse of one or just enjoy scenic Europe, you can find something to love on this trip. He lays out the trip and makes sure to remain flexible so you can see as much as you can without feeling rushed, and you get to see several sites not on any other tours. The groups are small and manageable (25 *** on a full size tour bus) so you are not all being herded like cattle. There is free time interspersed in the schedule, so you have time to shop, partake in some wine tasting, and just enjoy the beauty of Europe along with the somber reminders of its historic past. You can choose whomever you like for a tour, as there are several companies offering trips; but I would highly recommend for the best adventure possible, choose Alpventures! Final note, they do other tours around ****** as well, and not all are ******* related, so he truly has something for everyone.A big thank you to ****, ****** (DD) and *****. Thank you for making it a one of a kind trip that we will always remember. I look forward to our next adventure soon!

  I have learned more than I ever have in school on this tour, **** has got to be the best tour guide/host I have meet, He treats us like family not a customer. If you have a problem he is right there to help with anything. Even our driver of the bus is great and gets to be included. If I would have know about this company sooner I would have been on this a long time ago. Everywhere we go he is just overflowing with knowledge and insight. The places we have visited I just cant describe. We have had chances to go where other tours don't go thanks to his many years of being in business. The places we stay at every night WOW is all I can say they are beyond being able to be described in writing. 18th century chateaus, medieval castles the list goes on. I feel like I am traveling with my family we laugh at every meal we share our emotions and tears as well when we visit the cemetery's and other locations. If you can do any of his tours DO IT!! I am already planning for another one of his many tours for next year if my schedule allows. Thank you **** for everything!! **************

  I recently returned home from "******** to ************ tour" in Sept 2023. This tour company delivered a home run. The tour guide/owner is very knowledgeable, courteous, and fluent in ***************** The maximum passengers he takes is 25. Hence, he can personally cater for his guests' needs. The sites we visited where of high value and very memorable. The **19 plane simulator ride was awesome. For the first time, I experienced a 2-nights stay in a 5 star ***************************** hotel near *********, *******. It has an excellent ambiance; what a great value! The tour guide knew his stuff around; he checked for weather conditions, low tide level (exactly timed like in **** Omaha Beach landing in ********, ******), and always ahead in beating long lines by arriving early in most visited sites. He always mention where the restrooms are in every site we stopped at. I have to special mention to our first bus driver: the smoothest bus ride ever. He was fun to be with also. Without question, YES I'll sign up with this company for its other tour packages and YES I already mentioned this tour to my co-workers.

  I just finished the ******** to the Eagle's Nest tour. Excellent tour. *************** and the accommodations were spectacular. The guide was extremely knowledgeable. Six out of five stars. Would definitely choose them again!

  This is the best small group tour you'll find! From first hand experience I can say that **** is the best guide for WW2 tours. He's super knowledgeable, manages the group really well and gives you a ton of value for your money. If you want to have history come alive when you tour these locations, this is the tour for you! BTW, **** guides all Alpventures tours personally so you know you're getting the top talent.

  We just finished the WW2 Holocaust tour with ****, and it was above and beyond our expectations. **** is extremely knowledgeable, and gracious and never showed frustration throughout the trip, even though there were times he deserved to be. He went out of his way to make our trip enjoyable and was always concerned that our needs were met. **** could not eat pork, so **** made sure ahead of time that the restaurants had a substitute meat. The hotels were way beyond our expectations also. You won't find anything wrong with them. **** took us to unique places no other tour group would go and we learned so much about the Holocaust. Even though it's a sad event in history, **** was very careful not to overwhelm us but still let us see the truth. What's really nice is that **** deals with you from start to finish. The trip might seem expensive, but dollar for dollar, you're getting your money's worth!! The bus we had was first class and the drivers terrific. They were always mindful to stop every couple of hours for bathroom breaks.The bottom line is, you will not be disappointed going with Alpventures!Thanks ******************
