In August Richards Remodeling crew, working on my patio, damaged a Japanese maple and tried to hide the damage. ******* then viewed the tree and agreed to take it out. Richards crew, ******* and his wife have all been extremely difficult to deal with and ******* is now unwilling to do the right thing and remove the tree as he agreed to do back in August. Contacting Richards office has been extremely difficult requiring five or six calls for each time I reached someone. There is no voice mail, no email and the website has been down so unless you have a code you cant get through. I have left four messages with the office and been told the message would be passed on to ******* and he would get back to me. He has never responded to any of these messages. It is now necessary for me to pay an arborist to take out the tree and replace it at a cost to me of $500-600 which should have been Richards responsibility. I would discourage anyone from using this company.

*******'s Remodeling spoke several times to ****************** in 2022 regarding the Japanese maple. *******'s Remodeling reviewed the maple tree initially with a landscaper and we were told to ***********, it will fill in, as it was very dry due to lack of water. *******'s Remodeling offered to remove/replace the tree, but ****************** declined our offer multiple times. In a telephone conversation with ******* in December of 2022, ******* stated she wanted a gift card to a local nursery & that she did not want the maple tree removed. On January 11, 2023 *******'s Remodeling emailed ****************** stating again that we would like to make arrangements to have ******************* (the approved landscaping contractor for the property) to remove & replace the maple tree & to please let us know when would be a good time to schedule this. ******************'s response was: "No thanks. I have made my own arrangements to have it removed."

Richards NEVER spoke to me after the initial evaluation of the maple tree. I did not say we should let the maple tree heal, I said I wanted to think about it and wound up doing research that indicated the tree would not likely survive the trauma due to its age. No offer to remove the tree was made until AFTER I wrote a letter of complaint to my HOA board and contacted the Better *************** at least two weeks after the final call I made to them and was told they would not be doing anything. I was told it was "done, the tree is fine." I didn't decline offers multiple times because I didn't receive any offers.
