I had a very disappointing experience. The contractor wasnt upfront about pricing and charged me for a part that didnt even fix the problem. He admitted he wasnt sure if the part would work, saying he found it in the van and usually marks parts as bad if theyre faultybut still charged me full price. Additionally, I was billed a $195 service fee, even though he initially came out to provide a quote for two jobs. This lack of transparency and unexpected charges felt like price gouging. Im very dissatisfied and have decided not to proceed with either project. Would not recommend based on this experience.

Should be noted that I gave an estimate that was accepted and I even took $200 off after the install, also noted that the customer bought the stove and hearth pad himself and hearth pad was not big enough to allow the proper clearances for this particular pellet stove, 95% of pellet stoves only require 6" of hearth in front of the stove, the stove that was pursed required 18", I did offer to come back to help once the correct hearth pad was gotten, they never responded?  Ive been in business for 23 years now and this is my first complaint, I told the customer to get quotes from other Heating company's and Chimcare and would see that $1500 to install a pellet stove with all the materials needed to vent through the wall, 2 guys to move a very heavy stove in place is very fair and would be hard to find a less expensive quote, This is a good example of why its not a good idea to work with friends and family!
