Sparrow Bakery is a terrible company. They don't support their employees. They are consistently changing employees schedules without notifying them of the change. Their management is terrible. During my interim there, the ** of the *** location was fired for verbally harassing an employee. The owners refused to acknowledge the **'s behavior or that they were fired, instead saying that, "We're parting ways with [**] and [**'s] last day would be XX/XX/20XX." The owners may not have been in a legal position to say exactly what [**] had done, but they could've admitted to firing them, which would've been pragmatic considering the staff knew what [**] had done. The owners of this company protect abusers. During the transition into new leadership, we were told that as employees we would have an opportunity to voice our opinions and be a part of that transition. This was a lie. We were not allowed input. Sparrow Bakery doesn't provide adequate breaks for workers. Sparrow Bakery doesn't ensure employees are taking their half-hour, unpaid lunches. Sparrow Bakery doesn't provide employee reviews in a timely manner. Sparrow Bakery doesn't ensure employees follow **P(I've witnessed employees use dirty dishes for food preparation). To anyone reading this I would recommend A. Don't work for Sparrow Bakery, B. Don't do business with Sparrow Bakery, C. If you're a BBB employee, then look into my accusations about lunch breaks/breaks in general.
