Four months after closing with ***** Homes/****, I am still awaiting the proper installation of our fence and generator. The urgency of installing the fence is amplified by the presence of a pool in our backyard; currently, we only have a temporary construction fence in place. Additionally, numerous subcontractors have informed me of delayed or absent payments from ***** Homes/****, which seems to be a significant factor in the delay of our agreed-upon work.Communication with the company has deteriorated markedlycalls to ****** at ***** Homes/**** are consistently diverted to voicemail, and attempts to elicit any response have been futile. Moreover, myself and other homeowners have experienced pressure from ********************* and company leadership to close deals despite significant items remaining incomplete, presumably due to cash flow issues. Given these experiences, I would urge potential homebuyers to exercise caution when considering this builder; there are signs that their business may not be sustainable in the long term.In my case, I have made every effort to collaborate with ********************* and his team to complete the work, even offering to pre-pay for necessary supplies for my fence. Regrettably, it seems they have no intention of fulfilling their promises, leaving legal action as my only recourse.

Design team (5 out of 5) - We went through 4 superintendents and still have foundation issues and they can't fix them. Now 2 years later and I am still trying to get all the Warranty done. They have done a large chunk of it. I had to file a complaint with ********* and then it went to the BBB. Do not build with Ruhl Construction.

I don’t know who Mark F is but sounds like he’s an employee trying to give a positive review. Our experience with this worthless company has been nothing short of a disaster. Imagine buying an expensive, exotic car but only getting 3 wheels instead of the 4 it’s supposed to have. And when you complain about it they make you feel like you’re the problem. Also, now imagine they promise to fix the issue only to never fix it and never get back to you. This is Ruhl construction. Another fun fact is that their builder was caught on camera following an underaged girl home and urinating in the driveway of her house. Again, from top to bottom, this company oozes sleaze and total mismanagement. That’s putting it nicely. Agreed that the designs of the homes are top tier but that’s where it stops. All window dressing but the quality is absolute garbage! There are multiple lawsuits against Ruhl right now for breeches in contracts. Not necessarily unusual for construction companies but Ruhl in particular has an inordinate amount of cases against them. Another review on this site stated they have been chasing Ruhl around for a year trying to get things done and we are going down the same path. They forced us to close early with tricky legalese and threats of losing our home if we didn’t sign. Again, the home building experience should be an enjoyable one but ours has been an absolute nightmare.

      DO NOT SIGN OFF UNTIL...

All the work is done and you've verified the work was completed to your satisfaction. Their designs are great (5 of 5 stars) but their follow up is awful (their employees even agree that the communication from their office leaves a lot to be desired-1 of 5 stars.)

They will push you to sign and will promise to complete the work but, in our experience, over a year later we're still chasing them around to have things fixed.

MOST IMPORTANTLY IF YOU'RE BUILDING IN THE ******* CREEK AREA: include French drains in the back yard and along all sides of your fence in your contract. The builders, including Ruhl, deny knowing about the flooding issue even though multiple neighbors have reported and documented it. I'm very disappointed in the communication, follow up and lack of honesty regarding this issue.
