Code 3 installed plumbing in a new master bath addition upstairs in existing home.Within 3 months of completion we noticed water damage in stairwell that shares south wall with new bathroom. This stairwell also has west exterior wall.We had roofers, siding companies, framers and window installers all come out multiple times and we spent thousands of dollars fixing potential areas where it was assumed the water may be getting in when it rained. Our tornado storm room is directly under the new bathroom. After a year and 5 months my husband just happened to be in the storm room when I was draining my tub upstairs. We are usually both upstairs at this point in the evening. He heard water dripping and found actual water droplets.Next day we called Code 3 back out and told them we suspected the bath as the source of the leaking. They opened the drywall in stairwell and sure enough the drain pipe directly under the tub had separated from the line and was leaking all over the storm room and seeping into the stairwell to the north and into our pantry to the south of our storm room. They immediately fixed the pipe connection and installed a support directly under where the pipe had separated.I then mentioned to them that it was their fault and we had water damage to drywall, wood flooring, trim and that mold had been found. They claimed no responsibility since their work is guaranteed for one year and it had been 1 year 5 months for us to call them back.I have proof of multiple people coming out looking for leak within the year of their guaranteed work (including $$$ in receipts to fix supposed problems we were hoping were the source of leaks). The fact that hard as we tried we couldnt find the plumbing problem that was the actual source of the leak because it was so well hidden shouldnt mean their initial shoddy work isnt to blame. Ruined a brand new stairwell, existing pantry and introduced mold. Now thousands to remediate. Do not hire them.
