I have been a customer of Wynn’s Security since September 2017 and I am now moving out of the service area and I am sad to have to cancel my monitoring service. In the past six and a half years I have always been completely satisfied with the service provided and the rapid response we received when we mistakenly set off the door alarm or a problem occurred with the system, which was only a bad battery that needed to be replaced. Canceling the service was very easy and my only regret is that we couldn’t continue our service at our new home in a different state. I would highly recommend Wynn’s Security to my friends and family.

Tim **** (the owner) is incredibly arrogant and rude. Tim and I had clear text message communication in which I inquired about clearing errors on my home security system, installing glass break sensors, and signing up for monitoring. Tim was very promising over the phone, telling me that the panel I have is glitchy. Tim stated that he would hook up a new touch screen panel, and that would make a big difference. I took half of the day off of work for the appointment. He showed up, cleared a few errors on my system, and begin to leave. I asked him about the glass break sensors and he played ignorant like the conversation never took place. He charged me $80 for the visit. I told him that I had taken the day off for this appointment, he lacked any empathy. I told him that I was going to have another company yank his stuff out and install a proper system. Tim over promised and underdelivered. I informed him that I would be leaving reviews anywhere possible, he stated, “bring it”.

In response to this complaint. I received a text from this Individual at 5:57 am inquiring about my services and adding some glass breaks. This is a copy of my text to him. Good morning, This is *** with Wynns Security and would be happy to give you an estimate. The glass breaks are $135. ea. installed and the monthly monitoring rate is $34.95 per month on a 3 year commitment. The cost of the equipment to get you monitored is $175. The services come with an app called Alarm.com. If interested please all me at your convenience to schedule or if you have questions. The ** jam Im confused about seeing how we dont install wireless on the system but its easily fixed. Have a great day. *** I let the individual know that we were working on a very large house and had no idea when we can make it. Our set appointment was potentially between 1:30 and 4 PM that same day. We were running late and communicated twice to him And this was his response. Hey ***, just checking to see if you will still be able to make it today? We're still working it thinking we will be done in about ***** min No rush. I appreciate it!On our way After fixing all the issues on the alarm system and then he asked about the glass breaks. I informed him we would have to add a zone expander because his security panel is full. At that moment his attitude completely changed and he asked what the bill was what got us checkbook stood by the front door in a manner that he wanted us to leave. I am formed my employee to button everything up and he escorted us directly to the door and then proceeded to tell us that I overpromise and under delivered. As the text shows clearly it was to be an estimate first before any work was done besides fixing the issues. As a company I did not even need or have to fix the problems but as a customer service side I did. I informed him of everything I was doing. After everything he stated I told him that he was rude and then he proceeded to tell me that he would make sure everybody in the neighborhood would know not to use my company. He close the door and proceeded to open it back up and tell me he was going to post bad review and thats when I told him to bring it. Ive been in business since **** and this to my knowledge this is only my second BBB complaint. Unfortunately we cant please everyone.

There are several inconsistencies with the owners response. *** had sent me a text message with pricing prior to setting the appointment, which would lead someone to believe that an additional estimate was not necessary. *** told me over the phone that my current panel was outdated and glitchy. I told him lets go ahead and get everything installed as my wife is concerned that our system was not functioning properly. *** also informed me that he had a big project that he would be working on prior to my appointment, but he has been doing this a long time and would definitely be done by 1:30 pm. I had to text *** at 3:17 to ask if he was still going to be able to make it. *** had not reached out to me at all at this point. *** also did not do me any favors. *** charged me a $65 charge to come and clear an error on my existing system and leave. This reply is to point out the inaccuracies in his response. Why would I pay him to come out and clear the errors on a system that he stated was glitchy, just to pay him to come back out again? This in itself makes zero sense. His first job ran too long and he failed to keep me updated. He did not want to complete what I was wanting as it was around 5 pm by the time he made it out. I was prepared to fork out up to $2,000 at the visit. The situation is very frustrating.
