I had asked around about tree removal. What I was looking for was a little more thorough review.....so after my experience, I decided to offer one in case it would be helpful. I called several companies. Some were very techno-heavy with cranes and bucket trucks. Those companies came out for estimates and their prices were very high. They also desperately wanted the work and felt almost all the trees in our backyard should be cut down. Another caveat was that they would have to bring their heavy equipment through my neighbor's driveway. Then they said if they did any damage to the neighbor's yard or driveway it would not be covered by their insurance. This left me very uneasy. I decided to look online for more reviews and ended up at the ****** ******** ******. I found a local company with a perfect rating and long history. The customer reviews were wonderful. I had them come out for an estimate. The prices were half of the others. They climb the trees and use ropes and chainsaws.. Their heavy equipment was only a big chipper shredder that would be in our driveway. Tracey walked through the yard and they would completely take down one bad tree, but recommended only certain limbs of the others. I was thrilled. He gave me a written estimate and we set a date. It is a smaller family business. The disadvantage was that a number of things happened that delayed our date by a couple of weeks because things happen and it is a small company. HOWEVER, the wait was totally worth it. These people are masters of their dangerous craft and I was so thrilled, I had to write a stellar review for Thompson Tree Service. Cell ************, office ************. They did a beautiful job and I am thrilled. I am not being paid for this review and am not friends or related to these people....just a happy customer
