The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations, which have not yet been proven.
On Sept. 12, 2023, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office filed a civil lawsuit in Franklin County Common Pleas Court against defendants used motor vehicle dealership Ohio Mega Group LLC and its principal owner Dominic Wiley. Charges filed allege the defendants: violated title and surety bond regulations; misrepresented the actual mileage of odometers and the condition and reliability of vehicles; rolled back odometers; and did not disclose they were selling rebuilt salvage vehicles.
The state is seeking reimbursement for consumers, civil penalties, an order prohibiting the defendants from maintaining, renewing or applying for an auto dealer or salesperson license, and an order prohibiting the defendants from engaging in consumer transactions in Ohio until they have satisfied all court ordered payments.
The matter is pending as of 9.12.23.
