The Warranties orGuarantees section of the BBB’s Code of Advertising states, (20.2)advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” “money back guarantee,”or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refundsthe full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer'srequest. (20.3) When “satisfaction guarantee” or similar representations areused in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to theguarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.
BBB asked if thecompany refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product at theconsumer's request. If the company does stand by a satisfaction guarantee, upto a full refund, BBB recommended adding any material limitations or conditionsthat apply to their satisfaction guarantee, clearly and conspicuously, to thecompany website for consumer review. If the company does not wish to include asatisfaction guarantee up to and including a full refund, BBB recommendedmodifying the website to not include any statements with “Customer SatisfactionGuaranteed!”.The company responded to BBB, but did not modify the website.
