Medical Care is excellent. However their billing and business practices are abusive. I've had to use my health insurance company to intercede with the bills and statements for a medical procedure. No itemized statement given, although I've asked. Nicely!. Duplicate bills for the same service. Payment demanded for charges my insurance company says, in he Explanation of Benefits that i am not responsible. Messages and voicemails receive no response. Not once! Dr. William G. James did own the trademark Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management. He still operates under that name. This is where he sees patients. He also owns the West Central Surgical Center. This is where procedures are performed. He bills under two names: West Central Surgical Center and Toledo Pain Services. He owns Toledo Pain Services. DECAHealth is the biller for Toledo Pain Services. He owns DECAHealth. Hence Dr. James is in complete control of his billing and business practices. There is no good or logical explanation for the bad billing practices. For example a claim for a procedure was submitted by Toledo Pain Services one day after the procedure was done. This procedure required prior authorization. No prior authorization request had been submitted. Hence the insurance company denied the claim. The EOB says Im not responsible for the claimed amount .But Toledo Pain Services is demanding payment for the full claim amount. The kicker is that DR. James said this procedure wasn't covered by insurance. He asked for payment up front. I paid the requested amount in full when requested. Now he is billing me again for this exact same procedure, for which the claim was denied because of no prior authorization.

Doctor told me he TOOK OVER THE PRACTICE lol yeah. They are either not telling people that their medication is being taken away from them (they are still waiting for their refills) or just told that there’s absolutely no withdrawal and that they will be fine. Front desk staff I don’t even know what to say about that. I’ve been leaving messages for the office manager. Used to be excellent what they are doing now is unethical and harmful
