    I actually have a great time with my family at the Kalahari location in ****. Great people, Great Resort. My 3 rating is for ******************** that potentially violate Consumer Protection Laws. The use of "free" that are not genuinely free. Last week, March 7, 2025, Kalahari advertised 3rd night free. I trust this and create a reservation for 3 nights at $1433. I thought it was high so today March 11th I did the same room for 2 nights to see if it was $1433. It was not; it was $1080. 3rd night free? absolutely not. This tactic is very disappointing. We are still going because we love it there, but I do not trust there marketing anymore. I will unsubscribe to them now.

    Stayed at Kalahari Resort, ******** location March 2 and 3rd, 2025. I would like to make aware the terrible (racially driven) experience my family had during breakfast. First and foremost, I would like to mention a woman who was WONDERFUL in helping us get started through the process of resolving the issue.. her name is ******** & is one of the most kind hearted people Ive experienced. She was empathetic and attentive when it came to assuring my family the issue would be resolved. Second, I would like to mention what had happened to my family at the breakfast buffet. Upon making my reservation, I had purchased seven breakfast meals. On March 3, my fianc and I went to get our food to go. We were given boxes for everybody, got what we could, and went back to the room. Mind you at this point, my wristband and everyones wristbands In my party Werent working, we could not access the room. Separately, I brought my nephews down to get their meals, walk them into the buffet walk across the hallway to get ********* and my nephews tell me they were approached asking if they had purchased their meals and they couldnt just dine and dash. I know for a FACT my nephews were racially profiled. My 11-year-old nephew was very shocked and offended. I understand completely that people just come in and help themselves to the buffet, but no one had mentioned anything when those boys walked in with me. It wasnt until I had left, but they were approached about purchasing their meals. I proceeded to walk up to the hostess and mention that those two boys were with me and I had purchased their meals. I Had spoken to someone yesterday and they offered me "discounted" tickets to come back or a 30% refund. I had objected the tickets/30% Simply becauseYOU CANNOT PUT A PRICE ON PREJUDICE AND RACISM. 0 TOLERANCE. Especially when your resort is built upon African Americans.I WOULD LIKE A COMPLETE REFUND OF EVERY ***** THAT I SPENT AT YOUR RESORT.

    Stayed at ******** May 24 and 25th 2024 and was quite disappointed in the room conditions, service and mostly getting ***BUGS ,SCABIES BITES all over my back ,legs and thighs. First the room was dirty; asked for room service to make the bed while we were out to watch my grandson play a baseball game . I was told it would be done. We arrived back at 4pm and it wasnt made. I Asked housekeeping to make the bed while we went to dinner and they said it would be done. Came back at 8:30 still wasnt made. Called the main desk and complained and also told him the room was not up to cleanliness. All l wanted was the bed to be made!! Now to the *** BUGS, SCABIES. I Called the main desk after my first visit to the doctors office and was told the manager was not in but would call me. Never happened! Called a second time; left a message to call me after my second Dr. appointment.. never called back . Im seeking a refund for the 2 night stay. Also the blanket on the bed stunk of ***** . How about washing them also.

    Kalahari stole over $300 from me. I called the phone reservation line, and scheduled a 3 day, 2 night stay. My problem came when I rented a cabana. I noticed the reservation was made for the Wisconsin location (again, all made by the phone representative) when the rest of my reservation is for the Sandusky.Currently, I've been on the phone for 4 hours trying to fix THEIR mistake. I've been shuffled around. Told I'll get a call back. Hung up on. You name it. They have effectively stolen over $300 USD from me, and I can't seem to get anyone to fix anything.

    My stay at kalahari this time was not good the wave pool didn't work the outside slides were not going the electric in the room was very spotty the ** worked but the lights didn't the room seemed dirty that will definitely be our last time to kalahari

    There was a "cosplay" convention going on, that we were not told about. Men walking around in women's bikinis, with their bikinis stuffed with items. A man lifted his "furry mask" to flock his tongue at my 14 yo daughter that looks 12. There were people telling my daughter to look away and not at them, as they wrote profanities on a bedroom door, in the public hall. Such as, "give me some h**d, and big d**k" There was a woman walking around with no bottoms on. She had something covering her front, but her **** was 100 percent exposed. A woman yelling profanities because a baby was scared of her horns and red eyes. Saying they shouldn't be there. Loud music all night, because the pool was opened only for them, so they can party all night. While we got no sleep. The concierge that I called in the middle of the night was extremely rude to me! He told me there is nothing we are going to do to help you. If you don't like it, you can leave. At 1:00 in the morning. I live 2 hours away. He complaints and list goes further than this but I don't have the space. I want a refund for my second day. This was an 18 plus convention, and nobody told me so, except for the supervisor that I spoke to in the middle of the night. If it would have known this, I would not have taken my daughter and her friend. This is not how we live! Is there choice to live how they want, and my choice to not have to be around it. I talked to several people, and nobody did anything to help or compensate. Very disappointed in kalahari! This is supposed to be a family oriented destination. There were hundreds of people walking around looking like horses, goats, *****************************, dragons, demons, cats, etc. in the middle of the night our neighbors were having a cat fight! Literally meowing and hissing at each other! The same neighbors that brought in kitty litter to their bedroom. Unacceptable to not tell your customers that this is going on in advance. I definitely wouldn't have chosen to take my family.

    This year has fully ruined my experience of Kalahari. Have been coming here for 12 years or more for ***********, and the best part is always the Waterpark. Well, this year without advertising, they now have a SCALE and a weight limit of 200lbs or less per person on all their tube slides. Have never seen this scale enforced before and we were unaware. Our entire group is unable to go on multiple attractions now, not to mention multiple attractions are not open yet and the Waterpark has been open for over 2 hours. Absolute waste of my money, what am I paying over 90 bucks a head for? A glorified pool? This change should have been advertised or I wouldn't have even paid for a ticket.

    The weight requirements for the slides have not changed since we installed them. The weights are located on the rule signs. We do expect all out guests to read, understand, and follow these weight limits that are set by the manufacture. All the ride rules and weights are located on our website under the *** section. The scale for the two attractions was installed in January/ February of 2023. This was installed to ensure we are following the manufactures safety guidelines for proper weight on the tubes for safety of our guests. We have signs expressing the scale usage and weight at the bottom of the attraction tower and up the tower. Unfortunately, during your visit we did have some unexpected staffing challenges. We caused delays in opening some attractions. Thank you,

    I am so disappointed with Kalahari resorts!! This is usually our favorite place to attend once a year. We usually come here with our 3 kids. This was our Easter surprise to our children. My room I was very unpleased with as it truly didn't look that clean. My husband had scheduled us also appointments at the spa. We both had a facial and a pedicure. I was booked for 12:30 he was booked for 3. My son who also is special needs wanted to be with his mom so I just thought me and my husband will switch our appointments should not be a problem because we had the same appointments. The receptionist who was the spa manager acted like it was super difficult to accommodate she seemed very frustrated we switched. Then she just told him to go to the waiting room where he sat with wet clothes (everyone else with robes). My husband has never been to the spa did not know where anything was. So he went to the manager and asked can he get a robe her response was your just getting a facial you don't need a robe. He responded well I'm cold can I get one? Then she just said go get one out of the locker room. Totally rude and harsh. My husband had to go on a hunt for a robe by just asking a new worker because he needed a bigger one. He did his facial everything was fine. Went back out waiting for his pedicure ( 15 min went by and no one came to get him) so he went back to the manager who then said ****** is supposed to get the pedicure which he then says I told you we switched can I go. She rudely says I don't have a problem with that. My pedicure was very basic still had dead skin all over my feet and also she finished 15 minutes early so I had 30 minutes cut from pedicure that is 85 for 20 minutes. He could not relax the whole time because he was frustrated. Also we all got full body rashes from the chlorine which has never happened before anytime we came. We spent 1000 dollars to be so disappointed and beyond frustrated on Easter at that. We most likely will never come back!!

    BE AWARE THEY HAVE BED BUGS & ABSOLUTELY WILL REFUSE TO REFUND YOU!I found a LIVE bed bug crawling on the king size bed in room **** C. I put it in a container & took it to the front desk. I showed the night manager, *******. He didn't seem phased whatsoever. IT WAS ALIVE & CRAWLING IN THE *** I HANDED HIM!! He said, the protocol is to put guests in a different room & heat their clothing at no cost, when bed bugs are found! So obviously, they're accustomed to dealing with guests complaining about bed bugs!But I didn't want to stay anywhere in that hotel. If they have 1 bed bug, they could have thousands. I told **************** wanted a refund. He said he wasn't authorized to refund guests, but would pass the info the to day manager. When I called to speak to the dayshift manager, *********************** she told me they inspected our room that morning & didn't find any bed bugs, so she denied my refund! I said, NONE OF US HAVE BUGS, SO IT CAME FROM SOMEWHERE IN YOUR HOTEL! As if that wasn't horrible enough. Our group of kids were cussed at by an employee! After he used profanity directly to them, telling them to, "get the F$%& out of the way", he then stuck his middle finger up at them before going into the employee door. AND ALL OF THIS WAS 100% CONFIRMED BY THEIR OWN SECURITY, OFFICER **** WHO VIEWED THE ***** TAPE FOOTAGE AND CALLED ME TO INFORM ME THAT OUR STORY PERFECTLY ALIGNED WITH THE *****.Does that sound like a pleasant experience?! Bed bugs, your kids getting cussed at & flipped off, getting lied to, getting denied a refund?! It was HORRIBLE! YOU RUINED MY SON'S 13TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!BE SURE TO CHECK 1 STAR ************* ADVISOR REVIEWS. OTHERS HAVE ALSO COMPLAINED OF BED BUGS & GETTING DENIED REFUNDS! TERRIBLE COMPANY WITH INEXPERIENCED & INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT. I HOPE THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHUTS YOU DOWN!We checked in @ 430pm on Feb. 8th & left approx 8hrs later. Who in their right mind would leave a hotel at 1am with 9 kids unless it was a VALID CONCERN!

    This place has poor management. I purchased tickets through a fundraiser and followed alllllllll the restrictions. When I got there they had one more final restriction not listed . They only allow 75 prepaid vouchers a day . Sooooo get out your wallet while you hold your prepaid passes in your other hand . What a rip off this place could care less.
