    Beware. Hired in July of 2022. He asked for more than half to buy flooring material he said he could get. In august he sent someone to repair drywall ceiling. Terrible job. I had to send him pictures. He said he would fine someone else. Finally in February of 2023 be came and slowly redid. Not a great job but I said we would settle if he would get the flooring done. After many excuses it was April and flooring still not started. Then he tried to say he was over budget and he would have to bill us more. We felt bullied and stressed from him. I don’t think he ever had the flooring. We decided to cut our losses and asked him to come get his tools that we’re taking up space in our garage. And to bring our woodwork and paint that we had paid for back. It took him 2 weeks to come get his stuff. He did not bring our woodwork and paint back. He said he would leave it in his driveway. I drove out there and it was not there. When I asked again he did not reply to a text. Our lawyer said it was useless to file lawsuit against him that he was a deadbeat with judgements already on him that he hadn’t paid a penny on. He even was arrested in August of 2022 and his mugshot is online. Now 10 months later we have to start over.

    He is a thief. He has taken in excess of 80,000 dollars fro customers for work he has not completed. He cuts every corner, and when you call him out he disappears and leaves you with an unfinished product. The work all has to be redone because of terrible craftsmanship. He has been charged for theft in Rocky River Courts and Lorain County. Suppliers will not work with him due to poor credit. Do Not Hire Karl Patay
