This company is a horrible company and should be shut down completely. I have used the service for over 4 years and it is nothing but a waste of time and resources. The many complaints revolve around properly collecting money and then remitting to the state as related to custody payments. I was not surprised to see so many 1 star ratings and complaints. Today the site seems to be completely down and I am unable to make any payments at all. I can only hope that a government agency can shut the organization down. I will choose to go to the state office and pay my child support than use this horrible service.ExpertPay

ExpertPay is simply a method to make a child support payment it is not mandatory in any state. ExpertPay's processing timeline is clearly stated in the Terms of Service and processes payments as designed and described. When ExpertPay is performing maintenance, the maintenance page is displayed. I see that a payment has been submitted with an effective date of 1/12/23 for this account.Review fromStephen W

I called 27 times today (Nov 14 2022) to go on loop with a broken system in order to answer 4 forms of PII including my social security number to be told something I already knew (unlock an account) that needed another contact only available via email and I needed to wait 72 hours to hear a peep at best.My problem has not been solved.ExpertPay

ExpertPay is a debit-based system. When a financial institution returns a payment for any reason, the ExpertPay account is inactivated and the user is charged a returned payment fee as described in the Terms of Service. depending on the returned payment reason, ExpertPay debts for the fee and then reactivates the ExpertPay account once the user's financial institution clears the funds. ExpertPay processes payments on the same timeline that banks do and takes holidays into consideration. Please allow time for our representatives to return your call. sometimes this may take up to ***** hoursReview fromLauren S

Just like the other reviews, ExpertyPay is horrifying. For the last 2 years I have been in a messed custody battle where my ex-husband claimed false accusations and the unethical judge allowed him to take my 2 sons from me. I'm in the process to work to move them back and I put nothing past my ex at this point. If he killed me, I would not be surprised. Well I go to pay my monthly support and the money was taken out the same day I got paid, so it was returned. One would like that I could just go in and re-submit the payment. No ExpertPay likes to make life even harder for the non-custodial parent already in a stressful situation. ExpertPay deactivated my account until they collected a $50 fee. Okay, just let me pay that. No now I had to wait from Nov 4 to Nov 8 for them to take the $50. It is now Nov 11th and I STILL cannot access my account. I was told various times by ExpertPay, and ******************* of Conduent that it was to be reactivated specifically on Nov 10. Of course it's not. Today is Veteran's Day. Their closed, enjoying their day off. Me being a Veteran, I don't get to enjoy that because now I get to spend my earned day hoping my ex brings my kids to exchange tonight.ExpertPay

ExpertPay is a debit-based payment portal. ExpertPay processed payments according to the federal holiday and banking schedule and regulations. Payments are debited from the user's bank account according to the instructions provided by the user. ******************** receives a provisional credit from the bank. NACHA allows the user's bank three business days to return the payment for any number of reasons (i.e. insufficient funds, debit block and numerous other reasons. Thes same process is applied to fees. Again, ExpertPay processes payments and runs files according to the banking schedule. Holidays are not considered a bank processing day. ExpertPay accounts are re-activated based on the fee clearing the user's bank account.Review fromK J.

As the Employer, the Customer Support is awful! I have been trying for 3 weeks to get setup so the *** can be paid. There are issues on the website, therefore they had to manually enter our company and did so with errors. That has now caused us to not be able to get logged on to pay. Not happy, ExpertPay is not concern on how this is effecting the parent that is to receive the support!ExpertPay

Unfortunately, i am unable to locate the ExpertPay account associated with this name or email address. ExpertPay is a debit-based system to make child support payments to all 50 states. Depending on the method of payment determines the timeline of a payment. ExpertPay discloses all timeline information when making the payment. ExpertPay follows all the National Automated ************************** (NACHA) rules and regulations regarding payments. Once the payment is sent to the intended receiving state, it is up to the state to process and apply the payment.Review fromadam m

It appears the organization withdraws the monies timely from the source account...but holds on the the funds for an unlawful amount of time. This has been confirmed by the *** of CA. For Example An ACH transfer takes 1-3 days ( ********** ACH transfer can often take two to three business days to complete. They take a longer time to clear because many are processed by banks together at once. Wire transfers send the funds along almost immediately."Per *** : Payments are posted within next business if received after 3:00pm Per ***.Payment has never posted less than 6 Business days from withdrawn from Financial Institution, average has been 8 Business days.Do the Math for only 10 million dollars.. for a conservative interest rate of 3% ********** ( .03/365) =822.00/day CA *** collects 100's Million and so does ** *** ! If 500M gets processed through Expertpay via ACH they pocket/steal $41,100 for every day they withhold payment with ACH transfers.ExpertPay need to be reported to your states DA (District Attorney)ExpertPay

Per NACHA standards, ExpertPay holds funds debited from a routing and account number for 3 business days. Once ******************** debits your bank account, your bank provides ExpertPay with a "provisional" credit. Per NACHA guidelines, your bank has 3 business days to take the funds back for any number of reasons (insufficient funds, debit block an many more). Once the funds have cleared your bank, ExpertPay forwards the funds to the intended receiving state. ExpertPay does NOT collect interest on any funds. The funds are in a non-interest bearing account. ExpertPay is a transaction free service to the State of ********** when using a bank account. ExpertPay is simply a method to make a child support payment and is not mandated.Review fromDerek e.

Charging that much to debit an account is downright sickening. All it is is taking advantage of people. There is not a good excuse.ExpertPay

ExpertPay is simply a method to make a child support payment. ExpertPay charges a ****% fee with a maximum of $60.00 for parents paying support when using a credit card or PayPal. However, ExpertPay also offers a transaction free option to many states when using a bank account. ExpertPay discloses its fees prior to submitting a payment. It is not a mandatory method of payment for any state.Review fromJeffrey C

**************** is ridiculous. ****** actually hung up on me after telling me its not his problem that expert pay has taken over 2 weeks to pay the state.ExpertPay

I am sorry for your customer service experience. ******************** is a debit-based system. ExpertPay does not take two weeks to send your payment to the intended state. depending on the method of payment there are different timelines. When a payment is made using a bank account, the funds are held for three business days and released to the state on the 4th business day. The payment is received at the state on the 5th business day. This is due to NACHA rules and regulations. When a payment is submitted, your financial company provides ExpertPay with a provisional credit that can be taken back for up to three business day to verify the funds. The State always receives the funds on the fifth business day. Once the state has the funds, it is up to the state to process the payment. This part is out of ExpertPay's control. Please contact the receiving state for payments that *** take longer.Review fromMICHAEL B

Expert pay is awful. first they ask and insist on having your full SS# when you call in even when you have a username and password, then they get nasty and yell at you saying ill make you call back in and wait. when you ask for a supervisor they hang-up and then when you call back you get placed on hold for hours. the people are scam artists and try to get you to disclose all of your personal info so they can use it. supervisors are non responsive and have a i don't care attitude. as one told me "I'm not the one who has to pay child support !" cant even believe that this is the only option my state gives me!ExpertPay
