      As far as going to doctor's offices it's okay, but when it comes to getting my anxiety medicine every 3 to 4 months they ask for prior authorization which is ridiculous because I have been on the medicine since 2003 and the same doctor since 1996 but yet it takes forever to get the prior authorization and I go a week without my medication which is a very serious issue, CareSource needs a way better system to make sure that their patients stay on medication at all times prior authorization or not

      They don’t want to pay cheap, they said cause u am on medicad. No providers in Dayton hardly. No dtr going to except there cheap ways . Apt today and they called me a Uber wow, yesterday I am there a hour early !!! Third party companies. Smh. Caresource not wanting to do job and throwing it on other companies.. they send me over 40 miles way. I am in Dayton. Treat people like trash . I bet if I was in wheelchair I be treated differently , not getting my eye care dental exc

      Want to cancel your plan? Be prepared to give half your day on hold hearing a constant loop of rubbish. No other links or options to cancel. They make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel.

      I’ve had insurance through a different company for 9 months. I called several times to cancel and was jerked around every time. Today, after sitting on hold for an hour and 23 minutes finally spoke to “Katherine” who finally successfully transferred me to kynect who ultimately cancelled the plan. There will be NO reimbursement for the 9 months that they continued to charge my bank account. I would never recommend anyone to use “Care”source or kynect for that matter, it may be cheap, but they don’t approve Dr orders or medications. Good luck canceling!

      Absolutely atrocious insurance! I have 5 bulging discs in my cervical spine. My pain doctor suggested a cortisone shot to help relieve my intractable pain. In a rational universe a cortisone shot should not require a high level medical determination by the insurance company. However CareSource has denied my claim and multiple appeals for frivolous reasons. After spending over an hour on the phone today with clueless customer service they refused to expedite my claim. Please stay clear of this horrible company!

      I have to leave a star to post a review but I would t even give this insurance company 1 star. I came down with C-Diff in June. My doctor had to send lab results to show I needed Vancomycin to get rid of C-Diff. I was finally approved for the medicine & on it for 10 days. After about 3 weeks it came back or maybe I never was truly healed from it. So my doctor sent in for Vancomycin again but CareSource said they would t pay for it. So my doctor & his nurse sent in another medicine & in the process was jumping through hoops trying to show my lab work showed I still had it. CareSource rejected the new medicine. So my doctor & his nurse trying to figure out what medicine I could get & still jumping through hoops with CareSource was rejected again. CareSource wouldnt approve any of it. I had to use a credit card to pay for liquid Vancomycin to get rid of it. It took CareSource 2-3 weeks to send 3different forms for redetermination of on all 3 medicine. C-Diff is deadly if it’s not taken care of & CareSource couldn’t of cared less! Be careful with this insurance company they aren’t a good insurance to have.

      CareSource is absolutely horrible! My friend's daughter has Cerebral Palsy and is severely mentally disabled! She can not walk, is blind, cannot talk, and is pretty much dependent for everything. Because of her disabilities she does not comprehend chewing food, and her SOLE source of nutrition for the 32 years she's been alive has been Ensure or Boost from bottle. This has always been provided via a prescription, and paid for by her government provided insurance (CareSource). But, a couple of months ago, CareSource sited that because she wasn't G-Tube fed and wasn't losing weight, they would no longer pay for it. They called it a Nutritional Supplement... This is her sole source of food!!! Her doctors have sent info and it's been explained to CareSource that this is a necessity as it is her only source of food, But, CareSorce denied the first appeal, and a second appeal is now in the works! My friend is on SSI herself, and has been struggling to pay for enough just to feed her daughter. For 32 years this has never been a problem! CareSource has BEEN paying for it! I just don't understand...

      I was taken by ambulance to an out of network hospital with a broken hip.. Caresource "accidentally" did not notice that this was an emergency, and denied coverage. When pressed, they finally admitted that it should have been covered. By now, the hospital was coming after me for payment. I asked Caresource if they could call the hospital and explain what happened. They said no. They hung me out to dry. I still have bills coming to me, that they should have covered.

      Caresource has been a nightmare to deal with ...... While the employee's I've spoken to have all been nice and helpful it has been a complete, and I do mean complete nightmare to get a dental provider to take the insurance under careSource aka Dentaquest. I've called around to every provider in my town and everyone is like, "Sorry.... we don't take it." What am I paying for exactly when I can't even receive dental care. I will be changing insurance's very soon. Please expand your network Caresource, it is truly frustrating.
