My loved one is being held like a prisoner. She is voluntary there and asked to leave and they told her she couldnt and if she keeps it up they will keep her an additional 14 days. Since when did mental health problems become a crime? Incredibly dehumanizing and they dont practice trauma informed care. This place should be ashamed of themselves. Call ADAMH and let them know if Columbus Springs has harmed you in some way. There is no individualized care here. They just want to keep you as long as they can so they can bill you. Run from this place and please dont take your loved one here.

They are holding my husband who is 69 in this medical prison.. he keeps telling them he wants to go home and they refuse.. He went to the VA hospital GI for stomach problems and thought he was being sent to another hospital.. Got there signed the papers for a 3 day stay.. thinking it was a real hospital... VA told him they would give him an IV for dehydration.. BS the only thing they are doing is causing him depression and no medical for his stomach problems.. How this place can stay open is beyond me... Its all about the money...

Dirty, outdated, mostly rude nurses and PCAs who roll their eyes when you ask for anything. PCAs telling each other to "control your people," like we were animals. "Spiritual Wellness Group" which was a Christian pastor talking about how climate change is fake. No windows in the common areas. Inconsistent rules: I wasn't allowed to keep my toiletries in my room, but my roommate was allowed to keep hers. I was also given a plastic bag to take in my room multiple times, which seemed pretty irresponsible. The whole experience was incredibly dehumanizing. Luckily, the psychiatrist was pretty good, as were the therapists. I've been to ****** ******* in the past, which was very helpful, but I left Columbus Springs East today traumatized. The two are a world apart.
