Beware of this company. They do not follow through on their warranty. Even after two repair companies of their choice said my equipment was beyond repair. They slap tape on it until they cant any longer and when it is beyond repair they refuse to replace. The have excuse after excuse!! Then have the nerve to complain about your claims. People buy home warranties for that reason.

Please visit this reviewer on our ****** account to get a clear picture of what happened.  Here is our response to the ****** Review after them calling us scammers:

Your review says it all. 12 claims over 4 years, if we are scammers then why did you renew so many times? The fridge you are speaking of is working and you put it in your garage. Your evaporator cover was offered for repair and it was refused, and you told us to cash you out on the repair towards the new one you put in your kitchen. Word of mouth as you put is the best, even negative ones like this. People read these 1 stars and know what is fraud.

I purchased my place December of 2022 and I have never had a bad experience with them. They respond promptly and their service providers respond just as quickly and efficiently and work with me my needs (working around my work schedule/availability). I think they are worth every *****.

Do NOT purchase a home warranty through Homegard. I contacted the owner ******************* via email requesting him to contact me about our furnace that his office was claiming they wouldnt cover. However, he did not contact me back. He did contact my realtor in an attempt to smooth things over with the one selling his product. She attempted to help me because she truly is an amazing person. She asked me for documents and video to attempt to help me. He then claimed because of an email I sent him 24 hours prior, he could not help. Due to the email 24 hours prior BEFORE communicating with our realtor and him claiming thats why he could no longer help, I can only think that he was using my realtor to get as much ***** from her as he could to use against us in the event that this would go to court. That being said, his claim is he does not cover furnaces over 20 years. However, he clearly references appliances when he is referring to what they do not cover over 20 years. No where in the contract does it state the word appliance in the heating section of the contract or in reference to the furnace. They do refer to an appliance being only those permanently installed in the kitchen. They also are claiming it was like this at the start of coverage due to a video that my realtor (under good faith) sent to ****************. They do not require a home inspection nor do they require a professional of any kind to examine the furnace before they will cover a furnace in our case due to it being a seller to buyer home sale. He offered us $1500 before court and a nondisclosure, we requested $2,000 because it was more important we informed other homebuyers off this company. Beware of this company, homebuyers and realtors. We lost in court due to the video retrieved from our realtor.

1.At HomeGard, we have a 98% approval on all claims. 2.A claim was denied (pre-existing defect) since inaccurate documents were given to HomeGard for equipment records which the Court determined had been created by the homeowner on their home computer. 3. The reviewer lost their case in court after filing a lawsuit against HomeGard.Unfortunately, the customer had unrealistic expectations outside of the contract.

Bought my first home in 2022. Paid for 1 year of coverage with HomeGard, and renewed for a second year. Within 3 months of purchasing the house, I filed claims for non-functioning dishwasher and garbage disposal, and non-functioning/badly leaking shower. HomeGard was happy to take my money, but never responded to any claim. Eventually I discovered they had a totally different address listed for me on my account online. Absolute scam of a company, and I wish I never did business with them.

Are you contacting the correct company? We have no record of you calling, no record of any claims filed. We have contacted you and left voicemails after your review and you have not responded. We contacted your real estate agent and she called and left voicemails with no return call. We (HomeGard) also confirmed with your agent that we had the correct address and phone #. If you have not received any of these messages, calls, or emails please contact us at ********************************************* or call ************.

HomeGard has been great each time we have had to use them. Once I understood the policy terms, I knew what to expect. The reps are always willing to explain and answer any question that I have had regarding coverage.

This is the BEST home warranty I have ever dealt with. Everyone is still professional, courteous, and they are quick to respond to solve any home appliance repair or replacement. Every yewr I renew with them.

Used to be a ********** *** Agent, had Homegard numerous times in the past myself and boy, has their philosophy changed... They collect your premium and then deny every claim you contact them about. Paid out of pocket for this one based on previous good service. HUGE waste of $1000.00. HUGE WASTE. Had a toilet leaking from the supply out of the wall on the second floor, all over the floor and down through. They wouldn't send anyone out for days because "it's not an emergency." Had to stop it myself and then call another plumber. Called back again months later as the shut-off coming into the house is making really loud weird noises and pipes in basement are banging so the whole house is thumping like an earthquake. Nope, won't come out for that either--not unless there's a leak. So wait till the pipes break and flood my basement? Yeah, bet they don't cover that either. HORRIBLE COMPANY. COMPLETE SHYSTERS. ZERO STARS. Will never recommend again.
