been receiving a USPS priority mail envelope fraudulently using Buckeye Paper Company's name and address. Inside are checks for amounts ranging from $1550.00 to $12950.00. The
checks are from different businesses and from all over the country. No letter
has been included.Do not deposit these checks as
they are fraudulent. If deposited, once they are returned, you will be
responsible for any associated bank fees for a bounced check.BBB TIPS FOR FAKE CHECK SCAMS:
- Be cautious of any check you receive that you were not expecting.
- Be aware that a check can bounce even after your bank allows you to withdraw cash from the deposit. Checks can take 7 - 10 days to be determined a fraudulent check. You will be responsible for any associated bank fees from any funds drawn against the amount.
