My contractor ************************************* abandon the job he started and he already has 95% of my money. He did not finish the living room, kitchen, ceiling, entrance closets, two hall ways, two of the rooms, bathroom, and two pantry storage closets. The licensed contractor ************************************* breached the contract he created and signed to do my home renovation. He had two weeks left to finish the renovation of my place. When I was about to give him money for the materials he needed so he can purchase them and have his guys continue the work, He wanted me to give him a check this Thursday so he can pay his workers. I told him this is the last check that will be given to him when everything is completed and I also mentioned to him that as per the contract paperwork that he, I, and the management of the co-op building both have and he created, it stated the last check will be given "Upon Competition of All Works." I mentioned that to him and he just laughed and wouldn't and won't stand by the contract as stated. So I asked him multiple are you breaching the contract you agree to and signed for and his response was "yes, yes I am breaching the contract" he said it multiple times. While he was saying that I had his response recorded stating yes, yes I breached the contract as my proof. He also said if I don't agree to pay this week that he was going to grab all of his work equipments, have his workers pack up, leave, and abandon the job of renovating my place that was supposed to be completed. The contract price was $38,000 and the balance was $3400 in what I still owed him and he said he needed an additional $7850 which totaled to $45,850 which I agree to so he can finish the renovation. ************************************* has made many mistakes in the past by having one guy work by himself eight weeks and wouldn't add an extra worker. He is asking for more money and is in violation of the contract. I'm filling a lawsuit against him.
