I also had a very bad experience with this company. When we moved into our new home, we installed the casablanca lighting fixture with eternity led lights. In our several years of ownership, we never needed to remove the bolt holding in place the heat resistant glass disc known as a light disperser. On March 1, we were fast asleep and were awakened at 3AM by a loud crashing sound. We went into the kitchen and found the glass had fallen from the bottom of the fixture WITH THE **** STILL intact. Obviouslly the glass was DEFECTIVE! Thankfully we were not sitting at the table. We could have been seriously injured or killed. We live in ******* not ********** which is prone to earthquakes. Our kitchen table was ruined but thankfully we were not injured or killed. ********* response was the fixture is out of warranty !

My real rating is zero stars.Previous to my purchase of an island pendant with a cord suspension, customer service guaranteed in writing as well as verbally that the cord would hang perfectly straight. Two local electricians who examined the cord on delivery without hanging the fixture testified that this guarantee should never have been made. The suspension would definitely display waves if not kinks and may never iron out. Once hung, I would forfeit any chance of a refund.Ive requested that the 35% restocking fee be waived under the circumstances. **************** denied any culpability and denied my request.Subsequently, I checked with ********* own technical support and I have (in writing) testimony that the only real guarantee for a straight hang is with a rod suspension. This is contrary to customer service original guarantee. Nonetheless, ******** still refuses to waive the whopping 35% restocking fee which comes to over $250. I am now seeking legal advice as well as advising my interior designer to never do business with this company. Also, I am publishing my experience on our communitys NextDoor site. I have every intention of my loss costing Sonnaman lighting far more than $250.
