On July 25, my parents sought to ship a package of important items, including some of sentimental, priceless value. Of course, once the employee(s) learned of this, and insurance was adding to the shipping costs, the package immediately went missing. I followed the tracking number from the moment my parents left the store, and the item never even made it onto a truck for transport or delivery. *** doesnt have possession of the package yet. Estimated delivery date will be available as soon as we get the package. For days the store assured my parents that all was ok and normal, that it was just a tracking error, and that the package would be delivered. This delay was critical in allowing these criminals to get away with it. When my parents finally returned in-person to the store on July 30, the employee(s) could do nothing but plead ignorance. They would not even process the insurance claim for my parents, telling them to do it themselves. This is especially insulting since we dont even need or want the money, we want the sentimental and priceless items we entrusted to their care. Then, to add insult to injury, the store has ignored all written communications sent as a matter of law to their email address. Considering the value of items is $1000 or more, this means grand larceny, which you think they would want to avoid. The sentimental value of its contents renders the insurance useless. I will also note here, for the record, the fact that this package was insured for $1000 raises further suspicions that it was diverted, misappropriated, or in other words stolen, by an employee and/or someone at an employee's direction, with the expectation by said employee that we, the customers, would simply file a claim to be paid the insurance by *** without asking any questions, while said employee criminally benefits from the theft of this package. In which case said employee (or employees) have defrauded both us, the customer, and ***, as employer.
