I was a patient for over five years and had a great experience with my speech therapist. However, due to managements dismissive and unprofessional treatment, I have decided to ******** my last appointment, I arrived to find out my therapist was unavailable. The office never notified me, and when I asked if they could inform me in the future, I was told it was against policy. Since I was not informed, I had to rescheduleand was later charged a cancellation fee.I called multiple times a week, trying to resolve this. It took a week to speak with a manager and another three days before I could reach the project manager. Two weeks of calls just to discuss my concerns! When I finally spoke with the project manager, she was rude and dismissive instead of listening to my concerns. When I explained why advance notice mattered, she brushed it off, calling it "special treatment." She questioned me about past rescheduled appointments, which made me feel uncomfortable. I calmly said I was trying to be professional, but I did not feel I was receiving the same courtesy. Only after that did she accuse me of "bashing" their businessdespite the fact that I hadnt spoken about this publicly until ****** make matters worse, I was criticized for walking out while also being questioned about why I asked for my cancellation fee to be waived. While they did ultimately agree to waive it, it seemed clear that they did not value my *********** we ended the conversation, I asked that they reconsider their policy for future clients, at which point she hung up on **** want to emphasize that my speech therapist and the front desk staff were always excellent. However, managements hostility and dismissiveness made it impossible to stay. No patient should have to fight for weeks just to be heard or be hung up on for advocating for ************* the very least, I deserve an apology for how I was treated. I hope they rethink both their policies and how they communicate with patients.

As one of the largest speech therapy practice on *************** nine locationswe have policies in place to ensure smooth operations and fairness for all patients. We cannot make exceptions for one individual unless those same exceptions are extended to *********** part of our standard intake process, every patient signs a document acknowledging that we do not guarantee a specific clinician, but rather a qualified clinician. In addition, this policy is clearly posted in every waiting room. All staff members are entitled to take time off for vacations, illness, or personal reasons. These instances are a small percentage of the time, and during such times, we continue to ensure that your speech services are uninterrupted and delivered by top professionals in their ********** most medical practices today, we have a cancellation fee for appointments not canceled with at least 24 hours' notice. Ultimately, in good faith, we waived the cancellation feeeven though you walked out on your appointment with a therapist waiting.Regarding the delay in response: the matter did require supervisor review, and the supervisor was out of town for a week, which caused the delay. Were sorry if you felt that management was rude or dismissive. We listened to your request and provided consistent responses, even if the outcome was not what you had hoped. While we understand your frustration, we did our best to clearly explain why your request could not be accommodated. Were sorry you were dissatisfied, however, at no point were you hung up on. Your name was called twice during the call without a response, which led us to believe you had ended the call. We fully support patients advocating for themselves, and we do our best to help in any situationas long as it doesnt negatively impact the care of the other patients we serve. The statement you made suggesting that your therapist feels the same way I dothis was inaccurate and seemed intended to be hurtful. We believe in maintaining respectful communication, even in *************** is such a pleasure to know that your therapist was excellent, which is most important, as that is the reason you came to us.We wish you the best moving forward wherever you may go.
