    If you choose to use his services, make sure you double check your return. He made a mistake on our return, one checkbox, and was unable to e-file our return. He did not tell us he was not able to e-file until we received an unsigned copy of our documents in the mail (14 days past tax day) with a post-it telling us "Couldn't E-file. Sign and mail it yourself." That's it. No voicemail, no email, no other contact whatsoever. Because of this, we received a Fail to file fee plus penalties and interest. Mr. Montone does not work after April 15th until the next tax season, so we were unable to get ahold of him to find out what was going on, until this month when he was re-opened. He admitted to making the mistake and we asked that he recoup our cost for the Fail to File fee and some of the interest and penalties. He is refusing, stating he is not liable. Even though it was his mistake that caused our return to be rejected and he did not get ahold of us to let us know why. Be very careful with this business. I wish I could write a review with zero stars.

    He been a preparer for 40 yrs and he files amended return before I received my original return two weeks after filing the original return and now I have to wait 20 weeks for the entire refund. That just pure laziness and just poor due diligence to your client. Then when you call them the secretary never puts the tax acct on the phone he never gets back to you I paid 340.00 for hi. To file my return yet he never follows up when there an issue or when he makes the simplest poor due diligence mistake. There is no protection to you if he does make a mistake btw. He charges you to fix a mistake he made! Just a poor business man. He don’t now of you hit your money or not as long as he has his cut. Very disappointing.
