Very upset vendor did not at least call to apologize. Ideally, could have offered to have someone cut and install a patch from the excess material or made a token reimbursement. I acknowledged not much could be done. Suspected too costly for the vendor to remedy, but a call to express regrets and show concern is not too much to expect. Below sent to vendor. Modified for allowed space. Photos omitted here. Clarification of reference to “Keystone comedy”. Don’t recall specifics; installers were making comments about needing nails, tools, etc. Went back to their truck - may have had needed items there or may have used substitutes. Was a comment about needing “gold” nails to reset the “gold” metal piece that fits over edge of carpet at doorway. I have since noticed that piece is not fitted against the door frame on both sides – only one side. See below & attached photos. Not sure much can be done to remedy the matters described. Purchased carpet -your contractor installed. At that time, my wife and I commented to you that it was like a Keystone comedy. Recently noted something on (right) side of closet - had been preoccupied. Went to “fix” rather minor matter. Minor matter - contractors did not re-install right door guide (sliding doors). Went to do so, Noted area of closet floor uncarpeted. Fortunately, inside although easily seen. Was carpeted previously. With all the extra carpeting available, hard to understand why. Contractors did re-install the guide on left side. Different from that on the right side (don’t recall if these are the same as previously installed – they may have been different). However, area around the fixation point on the left outside appears raggedy. To be fair, the guides differ. On right, screws are on sides of guide (between the doors); front-back on left. Tightening screws on the left may be a factor although not previously. I could loosen left side screws, but – in my opinion –affected area too large to be due to screw pressure.
