    Hired Bills tree service to take down 6 trees. I gave a deposit of$500 to start. He cut down 3 trees and left them on the ground saying he’d be back tomorrow.(6-27-24) never showed up! Now I need to hire somebody else to finish cleanup and tak the other trees down

    A man stating he was Tony knocked on my door stating that he saw a tree that was down in my yard and offered to cut down a couple more and to do the clean up. He cut down two small trees, leaving them on my lawn and stated that he would be back in the morning to fishing cutting and clean up. He took $130 cash and a check for $270 for a partial payment. He didn’t return the next day as he stated he would and his phone is not accepting any calls or messages. He had already cashed the check the following day before I was able to do a stop payment. I have reported him to local
    police and to my bank.

    Came to my door and convinced me to hire him to cut down some dead trees. This guy is a smooth talker. He told me I would never get a better price than he was going to give me. He convinced me to go ahead. He was supposed to cut down several dead trees. He made a couple of cuts in two trees that’s were already down and he came to the door and said he needed 500.00 down now and that he wanted to go to the bank so he could pay his rent and would be right back to finish up. He took my check cashed it and never came back. I called and texted several times with no response. The police know of this guy and he has done this to several other people in my area. He goes by Tony’s Tree Service aka Bill’s Tree Service aka Anthony’s Tree Service from around Queensberry, NY
