      I honestly do not have any idea how Darold could ever receive a bad review. If you want an honest, hard working, and excellent concrete mason, look no further. We hired him in the spring of 2021 to do our concrete work around our in-ground pool along with a 12 x 16 pad for a pool shed. He told us he was about a month out and would call when he was ready to start. Just about a month later, he called and said he was ready to start working. He showed up and did everything he could do including pouring the pool shed pad and until we had our pool installer come in and install the underground pipes, he would have to wait. Obviously, he can’t pour concrete until that is finished. Unfortunately, it was our pool installer that did not show up and by the time he did to run the lines, it got too cold (you have to love living in upstate NY). We kept in contact in the beginning of the year and first thing in the spring, he got ahold of us and said he would be back out to finish pouring our stamped concrete pad around our pool. Unless you are living in a bubble, everyone knows the prices have risen for EVERYTHING in 2022 and he never came back and asked for more money even though his costs went up dramatically. The gas alone for him to run from Oneida to Holland patent with his equipment makes me cringe just thinking about it. Then you tack on all the extra costs in all his supplies and the concrete alone has jumped about 5% from last year. When you factor all of that in and know that he still honored his price to people he has never met before until he showed up at our house to give us n estimate, tells you a lot about someone’s character. That is a stand up guy and I will always refer him to anyone that asks because there are a lot of bad contractors everywhere but please believe me, he will not lead you astray. He does a tremendous job and you would be missing out on a elite concrete mason if you pass him up due one review that is completely untrue to his character.
