Sent me fraudulent contact information for Optimum. Ended in my identity being stolen. If I could give them no stars I would. Bank of America is currently investigating them for fraud. Do NOT use updater

This company has some shady marketing practices. A few weeks before I moved out of my apartment, I got an email from updater about their moving services. Since the email had my apartment buildings logo, I figured they had a partnership with our management. Nope. The building manager said they have no relationship with Updater and have no idea how they got my info. This is both shady and creepy. I will never support a business that steals info and misrepresents themselves in such a fashion.Updater, Inc.

This service has caused me so many issues. I never write reviews, it's just that bad. First they sold me an internet package from Spectrum that "186 people at my complex had bought recently" over an extremely lengthy and scammy phone call (tons of leading questions about info they definitely did not need). Then, after having issues connecting my internet, come to find out that Spectrum is not even offered at my apartment! False advertisement.Then I had an issue with my Change-of-Address, but since I updated it through this third-party app I never received a confirmation code from ***** The mail forwarding worked, but I started getting my dad's mail too because we have similar names and now it's way more difficult to make changes to my Change-of-Address request.DO NOT USE THEM. Save yourself the time and headaches and just go ********************** of what you're trying to do.Updater, Inc.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your negative experience with Updater. We were able to confirm through Spectrum that the address provided is in their service area. However, we do understand that properties may have exclusive agreements with providers that we may not be aware of. We are currently working with properties to ensure that this information is updated so that we can provide a better experience. ********** processes the mail forwarding requests, they generate the confirmation numbers and send them directly to the mover at their new address. Unfortunately, Updater does not have access to this secure information. We appreciate your comments as they are extremely helpful in highlighting opportunities to improve our service even further. Didn't know what internet services I had access too, and when I asked them a simple question over the phone kept repeating in a sour tone that "I really don't understand why you're calling, this should be clear from the webpage", as if the customer agent thought I was stupid.To make matters worse he had the wrong address for my property and didn't believe me when I told him, even though a quick ****** search proved me to be right Would actively avoid properties using this company in the futureUpdater, Inc.

Easy to use and understand. Very helpful. Was able to conquer my tasks almost all at one time easy and not stressful! With so much on my mind about moving it really helped me to calm down and remain focused on the most important things we need to get done. Thank You!
