  Josh came out for the initial inspection and proposal, then passed the work off to his crew leader Sal I******. Sal was excellent. He ran his team efficiently and oversaw a mold remediation and drainage install. Because the mold issue happened in a finished basement, in order for it to be remediated, the entire basement needed to be gutted and then refinished after the remediation was complete. Josh offered to do the post-remediation construction at a relative discount and this is where things went completely sideways. The finished portion of the basement was about 600 square feet, and needed drywall, flooring, and basic electric. Josh used a different crew to handle the construction work. They showed up for maybe an hour or two once or twice a week. Went sometimes more than a week without coming at all. Whenever I communicated this to Josh or Tonya my calls/texts went ignored. We were hit with mostly excuses as to why the work wasn't being done. Whenever we actually had an issue with construction Josh and Toyna would disappear. But when I agreed to prepay for half of the work up front, they showed up at my office within 30 minutes to take payment. The construction crew took over 2 months to complete maybe one quarter of the work. Josh and Tonya ignored my requests for my money back. The work they did complete was sloppy and unprofesional. I had to find another contractor to come in and finish the project off. About 12 months after the mold remediation was done we had mold growth in an area they claimed to have treated. This was covered under warranty, but Josh/Tonya dodged calls and texts to come and retreat the area for free, though the warranty obligates them to do the work. Since they did the remediation, Sal (who I mentioned earlier) left to start his own company called Upstate RDM. He was excellent, and if you are thinking of mold remediation I would recommend using him and staying FAR away from Advanced Environmental.

  I have serious concerns about this company. I have addressed them with the owner. Communication has been poor from the start of our basement project. The owner has sometimes been responsive, other times not. His assistant appears to be his wife(?)- she has been unprofessional, failed to communicate clearly 5 total times now and made several excuses about why we have not heard from the owner for days now. She also gave us false information about what would happen next, only to be told by the owner that she was wrong. Perhaps since the owner and his assistant are married, the could communicate prior to giving the customer incorrect information. We will be entering week 3 of what we were told would be “approximately 8-10 days” for the entire project. The assistant told me today that the next step of the project “can’t be scheduled for at least a couple of weeks out” because of another job they are doing “where everything has been going wrong.” For the huge sum we are paying, I am beyond angry and frustrated at this point. I wish I could go back and make another choice with what company I hired to do this expensive project in our home.

  Josh did such great work for us this past week. He was prompt with service, reliable in getting started, and made it very easy to communicate over the weekend. My basement is finally clean and mold free.

  Hired this company to create a drainage system in our basement in the Fall of 2022. After months of waiting, they finally got started only to stop working as they found themselves in over their heads with technical engineering issues they are not trained in. After months and months we now have a partial system of drainage pipes placed in the ground but they are now refusing to put in the sump pump rendering it useless. It has been close to 2.5 months since I cancelled the remaining work that I was going to do with this company and our money still has not been returned to us. The owner makes up stories all the time and I have caught him in multiple lies, confirmed by his own employees, about why he didn't come to the job site and when our refund was to arrive. One check did arrive in the mail which bounced which caused us to receive multiple fees from our bank. These people still have over $23K of our money and won't return any texts, calls, or voice mails. I've worked in the real estate business for over two decades and can say, without hesitation, that this is the worst experience I've ever had with any contractor. Dishonest, untrustworthy, and downright criminals.

  Basement mold was found by our tenants. After going through all the steps needed to get this done, the techs were in and out in two days. So thankful for Advanced Environmental. Will be calling for our own house as well.

  Another company told me I had to spend thousands more. Josh came in and told us we could take care of the mold step by step instead. This saved us almost 3000.00. We can’t say thank you enough.
