  Unethical & unprofessional. Hired to remove 1 tree 1 day job. Prior to starting l call Crouse and reminded him we agreed to cash and I would be back in 2 weeks he said OK. Accidents happen but take responsibility. He started afternoon and dropped tree hit my deck causing damage. He did not say anything about damage instead neighbor saw the obvious damage and called me. Crouse then disappeared for 5 days”took a long weekend” and left debris, logs etc scattered. Still said nothing about the damage. I contacted him advised him my carpenter would repair the damages and to finish the job. He became belligerent, irate and then threatening. If you do business with him get it in writing. He is NOT a man of his word. He denied my phone call reminder then took a full week from start to finally finish. My carpenter repaired the damage for $250 and I sent a check the next day to Crouse. This was after he had sent a dozen rambling texts messages and even called me Sunday morning demanding to be paid before the job was finished. He called my carpenter on Labor Day “when you gonna do your job? “ The BBB is here to protect the public from Crouse Tree Service. Do yourself a favor and hire anyone else.

  I contacted crouse tree to log property in Annsville n.y. Set up appointment with Tad for 6/22/2024. We told him we would be traveling 5 1/2 hours coming from Pennsylvania. He said he would be there rain or shine. We waited 2 1/2 hours he didn't show. Didn't return phone calls or texts. He is the most unreliable person. Do not use this company. Very inconsiderate n unprofessional. Plus the price of gas n tolls we wasted. He still has not called us at home.
