  I am a black, elderly, educated retired women. ****** came to my home to estimate a paint job. he then told me that he would text me the contract price. Instead, he called me to tell me that "I didn't bother to write up and/or text the contract because the price of $5,800 was too expensive". I attempted to ignore his assumption that I was unable to pay but couldn't. I pondered what I said or did to make him think I was broke and unable to pay the $5,800. My home is private, upkeep is nice, I'm well-spoken, had a lucrative career so what was it? The joke is that I was considering giving him the job but wanted to vet 2 other companies that were already scheduled. The moral to this review is that don't let preconceived bias cloud you perception of others. A man with blue jeans can be wealthier than the man wearing a suit. Just saying!!!!!!

  *****************, I'm sorry if you got the impression that I didn't think you could afford to pay, nothing could be further from the truth. The reason that i said it seemed too expensive is because I wouldn't pay that much to paint my living room. We carry a lot of insurance and sometimes our price for a very small job can be over the top compared to your basic handy man. I was just trying to be honest and tell you it seemed expensive and I didnt want you to get an estimate that was half the price or something and then you would think I'm some kind of *****, especially after you told me the story of the guy who came to your house and tried to charge you double the normal cost of the last work you did on your house. I'm apologize for the misunderstanding and with all due respect i think its you who made the assumptions about what was in my mind.
