  Do not use Robert Laman Construction for roofing needs. Of the team they brought in to work on my roof, only one spoke broken English so they were difficult to communicate with. They brought children to the work site who I later found out were jumping on our trampoline which is potentially a huge liability. The first day of work a heavy rain storm came through. They did not tarp the roof but kept working until the rain passed by. Roof was never tarped. The next day I was told by Laman staff the roof was done and they expected payment. Job scope included gutters that were not installed so I deferred payment until the job was complete. My son went up to look at the work and saw the job was not finished. If he had not gone up there I would never have known this. I notified Laman right away and got no response. Several days later we had a rainstorm that dropped 3 inches of rain. I could hear water dripping on the ceiling of my granddaughter's bedroom as I was putting her to bed. I again notified Laman. They sent someone out to finish the roof that day and informed me there was no damage to the sub roof which I still do not trust. They tried to tell me that they sent someone out as soon as I complained rather than almost a week and a severe rainstorm later. In addition When providing the estimate I was told that one tree needed to be trimmed back slightly just to get a few branches off the roof and gutters. The crew that "cut back" my "1" tree absolutely butchered 2 trees. The second tree that was butchered was not even in the scope of the job or touching the roof or gutters. Laman also did not credit me for chimney work they were not able to complete despite the fact they said they would. When I made a complaint to them at one point I was informed they were taking pity on me. I think rather they were taking advantage of me. I will never consider Laman Construction for any future work on my home. They are dishonest and show poor professionalism.
