We live in ******** and were in ** for my daughter's wedding. My son drove his car separately from us. The day before the wedding, I was driving his car and the car bucked when shifting gears and revved high when it got up to 40 mph. We thought this was related to an earlier, which was handled by a certified GM dealer, so we looked for a certified dealer who could look at the car as soon as possible. If it was the same issue, the parts were warrantied. We took the car to East Hills early the next morning. We explained the situation to the service manager, including that my daughter was getting married that evening, and that we think the parts, at least, should be under warranty. Later that evening, ****, an East Hills service technician, told us that there were numerous problems with the car. The estimate he sent was over $10,000. Nothing about the estimate seemed correct. They claimed that oil was all over the engine, but that was simply not true.We declined the repairs and took the car the next day. They forced us to pay a diagnostic fee to release the car. I took the car to a mechanic in Brooklyn, who hooked it up to the computer and showed me the codes displayed. None of those codes were issues identified by East Hills. The issue was an oxygen sensor before the catalytic converter. He replaced the oxygen sensor and recommended an oil change as fuel had entered the oil. My bill was under $600. The car has been fine since. We called East Hills twice to request the printout of the diagnostic they supposedly ran. The first time we were told that the technician was not there and he would call back. When we did not receive a call, I called again and was told that they no longer had the diagnostic report. It is clear that East Hills never ran a diagnostic on the car and that they attempted to take advantage of my situation. Interestingly, from an internet search, it seems that East Hills in general, and *********** particular, have tried this scam in the past.

I can't tell you what I think without using four-letter words, but these are the most incompetent, lying service people I have ever met. After bringing my car in for a broken water pump and an oil leak, they did the repair in a reasonable amount of time. I paid them $1,120.72 for the repair, and my extended warranty covered the additional $962.00. Just a few days later, the car began to overheat again. I brought it back to East Hills, and, after keeping the car for ten days, they said it was the thermostat, regardless of the fact that a new one had been put in three weeks prior. They replaced the thermostat, but the same problem occurred. Then they said it was the radiator, despite the fact that a new one had been installed at the same time as the thermostat. I brought the car back to the service center that had installed the new radiator, and they put in another new one but the same problem occurred. Called ***** and they said to bring it in. Now the car has been sitting there for two days and, despite the fact that they said it was being worked on, I drove over to find the car in exactly the same place as when I dropped it off. They lie, they cheat and they are incompetent. Stay away from these con artists.
