    This contractor overcharged me for shoddy work and was dishonest. He was aggressively irritable about my showing other people his work, and with good reason.
    Problems include:
    Loose siding after a year
    Nonworking gutters -all
    Exterior windows not caulked
    Roof installed over structurally unsound shed
    Inadequate insulation in bathrooms, stairway and over kitchen
    Despite clear plans provided, reversed the location of bathroom and walk-in closet
    Drywall uneven
    Unnecessary damage to old floors
    Floor finish sticky after a year
    Removed a floor without asking, then lied about why.
    Shoddy electrical installation
    Plumbing put through large holes in structural beams
    Failure to used old doors as specified, then expressed surprise that I wished there to be doors at all on bedrooms and bathrooms
    Botched floor installation - bowing, unevenness, cracks, holes and general tripping hazards; even new floors are uneven
    When I had and asked him to pause work, he left me a colossal mess that took two dumpsters to clear.
    This is not the whole list. All along he insisted that he was saving me money, but I ended up paying much more than he estimated for inferior work. It is embarrassing for me to show people who know about renovation and construction the house. And now I have to pay someone else to fix his mistakes.
