    The epitome of SLEAZY contractors.
    There were many issues but the one I will focus on is the fact that Patrick lied to us stating that he used paint with primer on our kitchen cabinets only to have it confirmed by ******* ******** that the ****** 200 paint that he used is not appropriate for use on cabinets, it didn’t have primer in it, and they don’t in fact custom mix primer into the paint as Patrick claimed he had done. When confronted, Patrick lied and twisted his words, refusing to own up to any of this. He then claimed that it is MY fault because the contract we signed didn’t state that there would be primer or specify that the paint be appropriate to hold up on kitchen cabinets. He is now threatening to put a lien on our house and take us to court if we refuse to pay him for this project done insufficiently that we now need to pay a competent contractor to come in and strip the paint off if and complete it the proper way. We highly recommend not hiring Smithers Contracting and if you do, please ensure you specify every single detail in the contract and that no stone goes unturned. Your project will not be completed with professionalism and skill.
