This is. A repost five star. Contacted me about a review. I wrote on them and they ask me to take it down and they will give me a free service and finish the job that they never finished. Well. I haven't heard from 5 star when they did my roof I was suffering from COVID. And I owed him some money. All they were concerned. About was collecting the money anot. Finishing the job? Well it still hasn't finished the job and I still have I received a free service. I would never mess with this company again. And I advise you to never. Use this company first of all it's supposed to be American company when they did my roof they had 5 Mexicans working on my roof and they never finished my chimney. That's that's what they were supposed to do when they never end up doing it I would never refer this company to anybody. Stay away from 5five star home improvements.Review fromAnthony D

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT, CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THIS DISHONEST COMPANY! I’m 65 years old and dealing with this shady group has been the worst customer experience of my life - by a long shot. As the saying goes, the fish rots from the head down and this group of liars is a textbook example. I’ve been either lied to, or misled by, every person I interacted with at “5 Star Improvements”. Starting at the head of the fish with an owner who said “all of my guys are certified” (and then schemed with the worst project scheduler I’ve ever dealt to send an email to me with a fake training certificate attachment (that the installer never saw before!)); to the person who answers the chat line (“I can’t answer that online, I’ll forward it to the office and we’ll get back to you”); to a receptionist who deceived me into thinking I was complaining about the company to a ******* **** ******* employee; to yet another employee who told me the owners were not in the office (“they’re both out of office and at a conference tomorrow”) when I demanded to talk to one.Review fromCarla C

If I could give them a minus score I would. They were incompetent from the start. I contracted for a siding job and nothing was done correctly. They didn’t even use a level. They destroyed more than they did correctly. I now have to live with a damaged house. There is still one issue (not that they fixed things right) that they were going to look into and get back to me. That was three months ago. I paid them a 50% deposit almost four years ago. They have been paid in full. Forget about their guarantee.Review fromAbby S

Five Star Improvements did our roof. The salesperson, Sarah, that came out went above and beyond, educating me on the process and what my roof needed. They communicated well and cleaned up after the project like they were never there!Review fromChristopher M

I had Five Star do a complete tear off of my roof in 2017. I’m having lifting and curling of my shingles and they will not honor their warranty. In addition, they have been no-shows for appointments they made with me twice. I contacted them before Christmas to come look at my roof, because I was having areas of shingles lifting in several places on my five-year-old roof. It is now February 10, and I still have not had anyone from their company even look at my roof. When I initially called them to set up an appointment, I was supposed to get a call or email back from Clayton, who never got in touch with me. After multiple phone calls, I was given an appointment with Clayton, however, he never showed up. When I finally was able to speak with Clayton, he informed me, without seeing my roof in person, that the problem was with insulation I had installed and could not be something Five Star covered with their warranty. He finally agreed to come down to look at my roof. Prior to him coming, I had my insulation person come and verify that the baffles, which Clayton was sure were missing, were in fact installed and took pictures to prove it. When Clayton arrived, he then came up with several other things that could cause the problem, all of which Five Star did not cover with their warranty. Clayton said he'd pass the information on to his bosses so they could contact me about the warranty. He said I'd hear from them within two days. Two more weeks went by and I received no call back. I have had two different roofing companies come down and inspect this problem and both have told me that the problem should be covered under warranty. At this point, I requested to talk with the owner of Five Star, Ross. It took me weeks to get a date set for Ross to come down to look at my roof. The appointment came and went and Ross never came. This treatment is completely unacceptable.Review fromJohn A

We used Five Star for our addition. Ross was great to work with and we are thrilled with the end product. There was one hiccup with a broken window but they took care of the issue promptly.Five Star Improvements

We contracted with 5 Star in June of 2021 with knowledge that work would start in about 6 weeks per their reports. No contact..we co ntacted them probably 3 times (NO effort on their part to update us.) Finally work commenced in March, 2022 for siding etc. We should have known better than proceed given the situation. Workers showed up with 1 days notice. We had to move items off the porches, etc. The workers had no supervision; there was no effort by owners/management to check what was going on. Job foreman was fine but had no guidance. They ordered the wrong size lift given the height of our house. Another arrived a couple days later. These workers used the area behind our garage as a bathroom; no porta san as required by OSHA. Total disrespect for our property; they hit two raised beds which were not adjacent to the house with the lift and destroyed them; left in a pile for us to clean up. They threw the corbels from the house on the other side of the driveway in the gardens and left them there. One of the workers was found hacking off the hawthorne tree next to the house on the neighbors property in the spring; that tree is now dying. they failed to read their contract; wrapping the porches as part of the siding was included however they insisted it was not. Corbels were to be ordered and replaced. Those were not until they eventually ordered. The gutter guy showed up; stated "you used to have guttter helmets..I can't do this it ruined the roof". We have since had two other contractors look at the gutters and neither saw an issue. There was a structural issues related to insect damage on the back porch. Their guy showed up to inspect and would "get back to us". Porch sheathing was not done at that point. 14 weeks later with no contact or update or ANYTHING we get a call "your corbels are in..we want o come install them". At this point we had contracted to have the structural repairs done; the porch resheathed and to have someone else do the gutters. Horrible!Review fromScott C

We had a leaking problem at the rear of the house, so decided to replace the roof. We hired 5-star to replace our roof in 2020. We were promised by the sales person (Sarah) that if we had any leaking after the replacement that 5-star would come back and resolve the issue. The following winter, we had more leaks than prior to the job being completed. I contacted Anthony at 5-star and informed him of the issue. He originally seemed interested in addressing the issue. I sent photos of the numerous leaks coming down from under the roof. I never received a return call, text or email. I called the company a few times (spoke with a receptionist) and was told someone would get back to me to address the problem. No one EVER called me back. Winter 2021, I had to climb on the roof to get the snow and ice off a few times to prevent it from leaking. But that's not how this should work (nor is it safe). I haven't given up, and will be calling them again this week. (July 2022) Unfortunately, it's easy to forget about a leaky roof in the spring and summer when you don't see the issue. We just noticed last week that a couple of the shingles are buckling now. This is what reminded us that we still have an issue with our roof...
