    The inexperience of this Mover is evident in his lack of communication, empathy and professionalism. I contacted 3 movers for estimates for a long-distance move. The first estimate I received was from ** * **** in biz for 38 years, came to my home, took video, used software to show how items would place neatly on truck and in storage units. Of course, at a fee. Next, estimate also came to the house, also took video, measured estimate was higher than the first. Mel was strictly over the phone. I invited to the home; he declined in a pompous manner but did send an estimate electronically to sign. His estimate was least expensive. Mel gave me a start time then changed it the night before when I called to confirm. The next day he showed up at the original start time and didn't identify himself. He and his crew also didn't listen to my instructions to not enter the downstairs until I returned from the dump. They entered the downstairs, leaving several doors open and scared my pets off, they haven't been found since. The improperly disconnected a refrigerator causing a leak that damaged the ceiling below. The eight-hour move turned into 15 hours which they charged me an additional fee for when I had to pay for the damaged roof. It took me a week to receive an updated invoice for the new fee which was the same as my first estimate. Now he won't respond to my inquiry to file an insurance claim for the damage caused by the movers. I have to go to civil court for damages. Lesson learned. Go with the most experienced professional. "You get what you pay for."
