    They ended up killing my dog because nobody would listen to me and catheterize when I brought him in because he tried but couldn't pee.

    It’s been so long since we had a puppy and we haven't had a male dog in over 20 years.
    We never feel rushed with our million questions. Dr. Lewis and Dr. ****** are always there to assure us these are all normal concern's and we trust both of them and feel comfortable that we are putting our puppy in the best of caring, knowledgeable and safe hands. The staff is always welcoming, patient and so kind. We are so grateful for the skill and care we receive at Grand Montecito. Thank you for everything.

    Bate and switch. DON'T GO Here.
    Was told bill would be $59 but bill was $248.09
    They are not trustworthy.
    Took my dog in for exam in May 2023 and then was told medicines can be renewed via chewy. They denied the renewal verification from Chewy. Even after office left message stating it would be approve and to resubmit through chewy. Then denied again. Received phone call early Saturday morning to make an appointment to bring dog in for check up before VET would renew the medicine.
    Was told cost would be $59. The bill ended up being $248.09.
    They lie and cheat to get funds.
    STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL DOG VET. IF THERE LIPS ARE MOVING THEY ARE LYING.
    EVERYTHING THAT WAS TOLD TO US WAS A LYE FROM THE BEGINNING.

    I have been with GMAH for about 10 years. Within the past year I have seen ALL the good vets leave to start their own practice etc. For several months there was only 1 vet at GMAH. I happened to bring my dog in at the time of 1 vet in the office, being Dr. Lewis. My dog lost her ability to walk with her hind legs. Found out she had "Hip Dysplasia". It was so chaotic that he was going around to people waiting inside and outside of rooms like a chicken without a head. He was giving diagnosis to people right there in the waiting room. I was one of them. He was giving me the diagnosis of another dog, then says sorry, scanned his iPad and pulled up my dogs X-ray. He then tells me the diagnosis. Gave me some pills and said come back in 2 weeks to do a follow up. So I did that. My dog was still unable to walk on her hind legs and on the second visit gave more pills for the pain and inflammation, then said "this takes time to heal", come back if she doesn't get better in a month. I know Hip Dysplasia as I had 2 hips replaced due to that diagnosis. It was a scenario of "here are pills. Call if it gets worse." type of situation. I took the initiative and bought her a wheelchair, gave her heat and cold compresses for her hips and rub downs as well. Finally, after all of that she slowly got back up on her hind legs. Took 2 months, with no help from Dr. Lewis. I am mentioning this incident as I recently decided to get a different vet and had my dogs history records sent to me. I looked through the paperwork and found there was no record of this incident. The charges that I had at that time were over $700 in diagnostic and labs. Yet on the paperwork there was no mention of the X-ray takenof the hips nor lab work up. So now I am really wondering if that diagnosis was for my dog as well as the charges. Looking through my dogs history, For the past 2 years she has had a high RBC and Low Platelets, which was never told. Quality & care no longer exists there.
