I am a 100% disabled Veteran. I use a motorized wheel chair. I had new tires put on my van at the Desert 215 Superstore. While serving my vehicle the Service department damaged my Braun UVL. I used my Braun UVL to unload my wheelchair without any problem. When they bought up.my vehicle after the new tires were put on,my Braun UVL would not operate. I had to physically pull and pull for it to come out. I immediately informed the Service manager that they did something to my Braun UVL. I took my vehicle to Mobility Works, who had just serviced my Braun UVL, I was informed that the carriage that holds the lift had been damaged to the amount of $4000.00. I contacted the General Manager, he an the Service manager then put my van on a lift. They showed me the damage and then said they did not do this damage. They both lied to my face. I contacted Lithia Motors, the parent company of Desert 215 Superstore, they told me that they will not accept responsibility for the damage the Service department did to my Braun UVL. They damaged my Braun UVL I am a disabled Veteran and need to use my Braun UVL to load and unload my motorized wheel chair. Lithia Motor Company and their employees lied, so as not to get into trouble. Now I am stuck with a $4000.00 dollars repair bill.TOO ALL VETERANS DO NOT HAVE DESERT 215 SUPERSTORE OR ANY OF LITHIA MOTORS DEALERSHIP WORK ON YOUR VEHICLES OR EQUIPMENT!!! THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT !!! THEN THEY WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY !!! THE NAMES OF THE GENERAL MANAGER IS CLIFFORD NAUENBURG AND THE SERVICE MANAGER IS DERRICKK DAVIS, BOTH LIARS !!! LITHIA MOTORS SUCKS, IT'S NO WONDER WHY THEIR DEALERSHIPS SUCK, IT COMES FROM THE TOP !!! DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR DON'T BUY OR HAVE YOUR VEHICLES WORKED ON BY ANY OF LITHIA MOTORS DEALERSHIPS !!! SAVE YOURSELVES THE FRUSTRATION AND SANITY, AND THE LIES !!! GO TO TOWBIN OR CHAPMAN TO CONDUCT BUSINESS, NOT WITH THE CROOKS AT LITHIA MOTORS OR IT'S DEALERSHIPS !!!!

    CONSUMER BEWARE:
Six months ago, my daughter and I visited this dealership to purchase a vehicle. They made grand promises with friendly smiles, convincing her to invest substantially in a top-tier extended warranty for her Jeep. She was assured this warranty would cover any potential issues, even though her low-mileage Jeep was still under the manufacturer's warranty.
After numerous times of bringing the car back for a particular issue and when that issue has now become a serious problem, the dealership is unresponsive and deceitful . Derrick, the individual in charge of service, has yet to return any of her numerous messages. Instead, he delegated the task to Heather, who has not provided any meaningful assistance - only excuses and re-direction.
This dealership is owned by Lithia Motors, a vast, vertically integrated conglomerate that operates as a dealership monopoly, managing the dealership, financing, and warranties. They self-warranty their vehicles, allowing them to exploit customers on multiple fronts. As Otis said in a previous post, I too strongly advise you to research Lithia Motors and review Desert 215 on the Better Business Bureau before making any significant investment with this company.
Do your due diligence—don’t just look at the stars on Google as we did. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER to avoid potential financial and emotional distress.

I found a 2015 Camaro on cargurus.com being sold by this dealership. I emailed the dealership on Sunday to see if it was still available. I got a response back from Grace from the dealership saying yes it was still available. I emailed her back that I would be there the next day to take a look at it and possibly purchase it. Monday morning, I received an email from Tim saying the car was available. Because I had stated in my email that I would be there between 10 and 11 am on Monday to take a look at the car he set an appointment for 1030 am. I got there shortly after 10am and was greeted by another salesman (can't remember his name) but I told him what I was looking for. He said that he will go and hunt it down as I walked the lot. He found the car and brought me to it, with the keys in hand. We walked around the car and checked out the interior and then he asked me if I wanted to take for a test drive because it had aftermarket exhaust and I wanted to see how it sounded. We did, it was perfect for an 8-year-old car with little mileage on it. After we got back, I told him Let's make a deal. I go in and next thing I know him, and the finance manager named Ruben come out to talk to me and he says that the car was sold on Saturday night. It is now 6pm on Monday and the car is still listed on cargurus.com. It was a complete waste of my time especially since I live in the northern part of Vegas. If I could rate this dealership a zero stars I would.

Absolutely apologize for the confusion and wasting your time. We sold the vehicle on Saturday night and because we did not close up the paperwork, we should have marked it sold in the system thereby removing it from all listings, we failed to do that. The manager that sold it came in late Monday and then informed everyone it was sold. We apologize and take full responsibility for wasting your valuable time. It was a mistake that I hope we never make again.

How about zero stars! We took our Jeep Wrangler in for service in June 2023. The Jeep had been slightly overheating and we wanted a tune up before leaving on a road trip. After service the vehicle overheated again, back to the shop. After 4 different trips to service (each time a new “fix”) the overheating caused engine failure. Had the vehicle been fixed appropriately the first time that wouldn’t have happened. It took over 4 months to get the engine replaced. A total lack of communication with the service department. We finally get the vehicle back and they’ve not refilled the refrigerant for the air conditioner. Another couple of days goes by and the water pump is leaking. Now it’s power steering fluid. For a vehicle that never leaked it’s been one issue after another after their “expert mechanics” repaired our vehicle. I sent a 3 page email detailing every time we brought the vehicle in, every issue and every time we contacted the dealership. Customer service took a month to get back to us, and of course they claim they’ve done all they can.
“Customer for life”? Not a chance!

We completely understand your frustration and as stated in our many emails back and forth, your request on the initial visit of not inspecting the car for a proper diagnosis, and just change the thermostat, has contributed to the follow up issues. We apologize for any lack of communication during this process, but we have been completely transparent and provided all detailed tech notes that support all the work and our professional expert opinion of what happened.

    Date: 12/20/2023

Your response is a complete lie. It wasn’t until the third time we brought the Jeep in (over the course of 3 weeks due to still overheating) that we requested a new thermostat . Had your mechanics fixed it properly the first time we wouldn’t have had the issues we did. Total lack of communication and no customer service. We’ve sent a 3 page letter via email detailing the horrendous service. Perhaps you should read it!

I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra on 10/8/2023. I was told by salesperson Khan (who no longer works there) that they do a 125-point inspection on all vehicles. I was also told a 3-month warranty or 3,000 miles whichever one comes first. I brought in the vehicle one week after purchasing the vehicle regarding a squeaking/grinding noise. After spending 2 hours waiting, they put some degreaser on it shifted the brake pads and said it was all set. A week later from then the same noise came back. I returned the vehicle, and they took the drum off and sanded it down and sprayed the degreaser on it and said I was good to go. Here I am again with the same situation at this point in time. They said that under market brakes and rotors were on the vehicle it is common for 2017 and 2018 Hyundai Elantra to squeak there's nothing wrong with the vehicle. They said they will not be fixing the issue because it doesn't fall under a mechanic issue for squeaking/grinding noise coming from the brakes. I spoke with Darren the Service Drive Manager. Heather the CSR Manager, Andrew who is the sales Manager. Robert the mechanic who went inside the car heard the noise mentioned that the whole assembly needed to be replaced drum/rotors/brakes said he needs to get the approval first. I said OK get the approval. Then all of a sudden, he comes back and says there's nothing wrong with it its common and after replacing everything the same noise will come back eventually. They said they can fixed replace the brakes but at that point I would have to pay for it because the brake pads are good. Nothing is adding up here.

Fortunately, there was no safety issue and after checking on her concern twice, we once again confirmed that although she did not like the squeaking sound from the brakes, it was not safety related. We did not want to replace the good brakes on the car with another set of good brakes that may end up with the same result. Therefore, we informed her that if she wanted the braked replaced, she would be responsible for the cost and that might not even solve the problem.

I got a second opinion as requested. I was presented with Front and Rear Brakes needed to be replaced. As well as Front brake rotor. Rear Drum Brake shoe and rear brake drum. So, it's not that the squeaking/grinding noise that is bothering me is the fact I got a document that says it needs to be replaced with the amount 1281.57. Also that its not just the brakes as i stated before.

We had Tabatha come back in so we could swap out the rear brakes and drums at no cost to her to see if that helped with the squeaking noise. I emailed Tabatha when she left after the repair and never heard back on whether or not that alleviated the issue.

Can i give less than 1 star?
OK, they get 1 start for picking me up at the airport. Thank you.
My issue on BBB is that they sold me a 4500 diesel truck, and did not install all the items that were listed on the window sticker.
The window sticker called out tinted Windshield on one line item and Tinted windows on the Next line item.
They told me that they would send me a check for the tint as it was late on Saturday and i was going to drive back to CA. on Sunday. I was fine with that. (2) months later still no check, and a bunch of emails and calls later they say that they promised nothing. I find this dealership houses lieing, and incompetent employees.
There were a couple more small issues that i will add later, but the bottom line is, "Items listed on the window sticker are not omittable options, and they are not part of Desert 215's Optional Desert protection package." They can't weasel out of the responsibility to provide what is listed on the window sticker" How they think they can get away with that is beyond claiming ignorance.
Other things for potential buyers to note:
They claimed the truck would be cleaned and ready to go... It was not. Inside the windshield was filmy (Most likely never cleaned) and the exterior was dirty, (They said rained... not the afternoon that i picked it up), plastics were fading, and the fuel cap was missing. (I had to gently prod the salesman into getting me a fuel cap) He tried to say Diesels don't come with one... Seriously!
Do not listen to the dealer when they say the rejected $6,000.00 Desert protection package included the window tint that was already listed on the Window Sticker.
Just because they duplicate items on the Window sticker in their Stealership add on package doesn't mean they can get out of Standard upgrades listed in the base vehicle content.
so the Desert Package consisted of : Clear Paint Protection film, Heavier window tint, and Alarm system for $6000.00 dealer cost about $1500.
    Do not use this dealer

We have sent an email to the client directly addressing these concerns of which only one might have merit, which relates to the cleanliness of the vehicle at delivery. His comments about our profit, the items listed in the Desert Protection Package are erroneous as he did not pay or was provided anything included in that package. All packaged items are listed on the website very clearly anyway and how is he to know what any of our internal costs are associated with them? The tint that he says we did not do that is on the window sticker, IS APPLIED AND PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER WHEN THE CAR IS PRODUCED AT THE FACTORY. So, his claim that it is not is not accurate. Any claims made by this customer publicly to third parties regarding anything other than his car not being clean will be considered slander and malicious in nature and pursued aggressively and accordingly as slanderous in nature.

Dealer offered a check and then backed out. Not explaining factory options at time of sale.
Internal costs: It is easy to go to Ram Parts website, look up parts, add the total and figure the hourly rate for install. This will be above the price for actual dealer costs! Alarm systems cost the dealer $25-45 per vehicle when purchased in bulk (This is easily looked up online by the Alarm system name and dealer cost on a google search) Activation is supposably to be Purchasers option, but “Most all dealerships” use this inflated pricing for additional profit.
“I have looked this up on the last (4) vehicles purchased for myself and my company” But again I am not fighting this.
Dealers lack of responsibility on discussions on window tint, and Liying about new trucks not coming with Fuel caps allows me to use the word “Lier” (I have a witness to the dealer **) so the word Slander doesn’t apply.
I will not waste my time pursuing Desert 215 on the check for the window tint (As it is just a few hundred bucks for the company) , but I am fully within my rights to Now and Forevermore report on My experience at this dealership.

They sold me a car that has water damage. I try to take it back and switch it out. They told me to find a car That's the same price. I found one a little cheaper five hundred dollars less. They did not honor the price and what they told me. They stuck me with another five thousand dollars. I could not afford that so i'm stuck with the Lemon!
Basically they robbed me for the first car. And then I go back within the time frame to take the car back to them. And they told me no.
This is heartbreaking for these dealerships to do people like this.

This client bought a car and then after all the flooding that occurred in the area came back and told us that we sold her the car that was obviously submerged in water. At first, we offered to get the car in the shop been though there was nothing apparently wrong with it (complaint she had could noy be verified). We said that anything we found would be covered by our 60-day warranty that we provided free when she purchased it. She did not want that and just wanted another car, so we found another one that was $5,0000 more and she went to the bank to get the money and was denied, so she came back mad at us. She kept saying that she was going to get an attorney and at that point we told her that we could not talk to her and that her attorney would have to talk to ours. Bottom line is that she must have taken the car through a large body of water (as evidenced by condition of vehicle when she brought it in) and was concerned about the future mechanical operation of it going forward and tried to blame it on us.

Desert 215 was fine to work with when purchasing our vehicles, yes vehicle(s) we purchased two from them. We are from Michigan and were in Vegas on vacation - we were wanting to purchase vehicles from a salt free state. Desert unfortunately was the only dealership that had what both myself and my husband were looking for. I purchased a 2017 Jeep Cherokee on March 17th, 2023. That day I had noted and told them that the power lift gate was not functioning prior to purchasing - they assured me it would be repaired by a sister dealership in Michigan under their limited warranty. We hauled it home, towing it with the truck we purchased from them. I drove it for approximately one week before bringing it in to have the lift gate repaired. During that week I discovered a SLEW of other problems, one of which was a MASSIVE water leak coming from a disconnected tube from the sun roof. NON of these issues were disclosed to me at time of purchase. I have now been fighting with Desert 215 for 2.5 months because the limited warranty that I was assured would cover these repairs will not cover them and the warranty company has stated that it is Deserts responsibility to cover these charges. They have absolutely refused. They are incredibly difficult to get a hold of - at this time I have 4 voicemails out to an “Al Peterson” who I am told is their customer service manager. The thing that really burns me is that they charge you a $2000+ fee that is supposed to cover fixing these issues prior to selling the vehicle. I have attempted to start the “buy back” process MULTIPLE times and have yet to be connected with ANYONE who can help me. This whole situation is incredibly disheartening and I hope that this review will save someone the headache that I have had to endure in the future. I 0/10 recommend Desert 215 Superstore.

Between the sales team and the receptionist, does anyone work there. Nobody ever answers the phone. They say they're under new management. Good luck with that.
