  my mother was transferred to spanish hills and wellness suites after her stroke and hospital discharge. My mother was there, roughly 2 months as they continue to bill her physical therapy insurance reporting to them that she was showing improvement, allowing her stay to be lengthen. They were fraudulently billing over six week time as in fact my mother declined from Walker used to wheelchair-bound status. They continuously reported improvement in physical mobility which was a complete lie. I Requested assistance from case manager and social work on numerous occasions, asking for list of facilities, near my home for transfer yet, information was never provided. After her last stroke my mother’s behaviors, worsened, and despite numerous psychiatric consult at the facility, my mothers behaviors were never managed. Three days after physical therapy ran up and they were no longer able to bill for an excessive amount of payment , they discharged my mother to Southern Hills Hospital without notifying me reporting to the hospital that she was combative and went as far as to placing her on a legal hold which the hospital psychiatric physician said was completely unnecessary. Spanish hills staff members provided legal documentation to ambulance drivers, which was completely illegal as well as provided private medical information to a person without receiving proper consent from myself her power of attorney. Since my mothers abrupt discharge, no one from the facility has returned my phone calls or emails. Unprofessional management, case managers, and social workers. Rude and disrespectful nursing and care staff. Unless your loved one is somewhat independent, Do not place them here. They will not receive that they need.
