I was told I would get 12 or so loans consolidated down, to roughly be about 10,000.00. I called the fed agencies in charge of student loans and they told me no consolidation program will charge you money up front. So, I fell to that sword, and their services never checked out. I emailed them 4 times today and tried to call twice to cancel my services and no response. They are taking monthly payments from me and I want them to stop. I am working on the paper my self for the income driven plans within my loan servicer, because its not the service I was told I would be provided. So, I am asking politely for you to please cancel my services with you, because I will not be paying any more. I would also like to see my $700 back I spent up front.Review fromLilian F

I was contacted in March 2023 by Alumni Advantage. They took out two payments of $399.50 on March 17 and 30 and have taken out payments of $49.00 ever since until I found out I was being scamed base on the names of the bank withdraws. I contact Aidvantage who these people claimed to be at first. When these rats called me they had all my loan info and told me that whatever I payed would be to repay my student loan which qualified for the public service loan forgiveness program after a certain amount of payments. When I contacted them for a refund they said it was a fee for helping me file an application that is free base on my loan being fedaral. I would like my 2 payments of $399.50 back 2 for $49 since my bank refused the other 2.Review fromKelsie H

This company is a scam, do not fall for it. I was informed by Mohela that this company has been repeatedly scamming people and charging them for services that are FREE and that you could simply do yourself! Reading all of the reviews below, I see that that statement is indeed true. I was also told that if I made the 3 payments of $299 & $49 monthly payments that my loans would all be forgiven after 20 years, turns out that is a lie. Mohela has no connection with these people & I’ve been paying money when a pause was put in place, now I’m out of $1350! The red flag for me was that out of nowhere the payments randomly started being taken out by a different name, it started as Alumni and switched to SPCTWO this month, when I called to get information regarding the switch & what was going on the “customer service” lady came off with an attitude when I wanted want to cancel & doesn’t really know what to say when you begin asking too many questions. Please do not give them your information. Any further transactions made will be immediately stopped and reported! My card is locked moving forward, and I have blocked/stopped payments from them via my bank never will I fall for such a scam again. These people are horrible and prey on people who are already struggling with student loans. I would like my account canceled & removed IMMEDIATELY! smh!Review fromNia L

This company uses misleading rhetoric to fool people that are already in debt to pay an “application fee” which is actually free to do on the governments website. I am in the process of requesting my 299.00 back and I halted all other payments after realizing this was a scam. If I don’t hear back and receive my refund I will be looking for other avenues of reimbursement. I wish I could give these scumbags negative stars…Review fromDonna S

I received 2 letters from this organization through the mail, I thought it was legit, I know for a fact NOW that it isn't, due to reading of all the comments down below... They had me to sign forms on my email, then sent me more forms to sign and mail back to a P.O box, then, when I tried to stop the envelope from going to this FRAUD address, I had no such luck, there supposed to be receiving it today. (04/14/2023). I hate now that they have got all of my information, name, street address, city, state zip code and phone number. Along, with my social security number and 4 pay stubs. I wished now that I would have done some research, I've also tried to stop these 3 deductions from coming out of my bank account. I was told it would be $899.00, all they said was $299.00 each draft, but after reading down below I see where its- $299.67, $299.67, lastly, $299.66., then I've also read down below a $49,00 monthly charge that I was told nothing about??? I recently went to my bank to have a stop put to this organization for the $299.00, but they wouldn't take the name of the organization, which I told them "Alumni Advantage LLC." Now, I got to recall my banker again today and see if they will PLEASE put in the name of this place and also add the cent amounts on the end of $299.00. I pray I can get this resolved, If not, I will possibly lose a lot of money, I wish NOW I would have NEVER considered using this place, I also call my servicer Aid vantage to report this company and to make sure they WILL not be able to get back into my student loan account. This mess has had me worried; I'll never use such a place as this again. I will be also calling Alumni Advantage to have my account closed, they will not answer the phone is another problem. If I have to leave voice mail after voice mail, I will do whatever it takes. DONT USE THIS COMPANY, I KNOW IT IS A SCAM... BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!Review fromSchyler A

I had been sent a letter from this company about student loan forgiveness and had been in the understanding that they worked with the department of education and directly with student loans. After giving them Information and them telling me my money was going to be put towards student loans I was wrong. They took money from my account month after month then asked for federal documents for my loans.cig had to block payment from this company via my bank. I then emailed them about deleting my account and getting a refund. After a phone call to them that was very unprofessional they had told me that my account was deleted. I had not received any information or emails back about it being deleted. After I called them they finally told me. It was deleted and all my information was wiped. I then requested the refund and they refused to acknowledge my request and would not give it to me. $900 later and we are still fighting for my money to be returned as it is not being used for the purpose it was providedReview fromCole W

This organization should be absolutely ashamed of their business practices. The "service" they provide amounts to nothing more than filling out 2 documents and mailing them to the DOE. Preying on financially burdened college students is beyond low. They will attempt to charge you $800 for a "service" that you could complete on your own in no more than 2 minutes. Everything they offer is available to you COMPLETELY FREE on the studentaid.gov website. Do not fall for this scam. They will call you masquerading as the Department of Education, and will never make clear that they are in fact a "document preparation" service. What they are doing is nothing short of fraud. If you read the Business' responses to their negative reviews you'll see them claiming to be "transparent from the beginning", this could not be further from the truth. They will purposely mislead you, posing as government assistance and not making clear that what you're paying for is "legal help". Once you figure them out and the jig is up, they'll tell you that everything they're doing is perfectly above board. While this may be true, legal and ethical are not the same thing. I had to close my bank account to prevent this devilish service from assessing any further charges. Furthermore, banks will refuse to refund the money that they've stolen from vulnerable young people like us because the business is not doing anything "illegal". What they are doing is intentionally misleading consumers to line their own pockets. A one star rating with 12 complaints filed in under a year of existence should tell you everything you need to know. To the owners of this company, and the woman I spoke to on the phone- you are vile people; you know what you're doing is wrong.Alumni Advantage LLC

Hello Randall, After further review of your account, you enrolled in January 2023. During this time we provided the federal documentation needed in order to enter the student loan forgiveness program. Our services are document preparation and recertification. The documentation was sent over on the day of enrollment and we do have it on record you received them and sent them to the D.O.E as requested. Despite assisting you with the program, your account has been cancelled per your request. Best Regards.
