    On Aug 30, I hired this company to come and clean my carpets. They arrived at the agreed to time. First question they asked is what I not want them to move and what rooms they were to clean.I said they did not have to move a hutch and an entertainment center. They were to shampoo and treat three rooms and hall. They started to shampoo the requested carpets. About 45 minutes into the cleaning, they called us into the family room and tried to upsell us into getting our couches and chairs shampooed also. We said no, and I guess it made them mad. they spent about 15 more minutes finishing the carpet cleaning then left.The next day, I had to move a couch and discovered that they had not even vacuumed under it. Also, I discovered that the love seat and chairs had not been moved. About 2 days later, my wife complained about the carpets being stiffer than normal (like the soap was not rinsed completely). Since then, we have had to reshampoo all of the carpets to get the remaining soap out of them. I posted my complaint on ****** maps and shortly after received a call from Stanley Steemer Corporate. He said they will be contacting me about redoing my carpets - NO OTHER CONTACT from anybody since.WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS.

    We have a 10-day guarantee on all work that we do. We were unaware of any problems with your service. We did look up the complaint in ****** and saw that you were contacted back from our corporate office and that they requested more information from you. We are more than happy to come out to reclean anything you are unhappy with. We can also send out a manager. You can call our office to set up that appointment.

    Both contacts from corporate ended with a promise that we would be contacted by our local Stanley Steemer franchise. The responder mentions the first contact from corporate, but fails to acknowledge the second contact . . As mentioned in my initial claim, I have had to get my carpets recleaned about 3 weeks after Stanley ******* cleaned my carpets. The rinse from this cleaning was very dirty. Not what I would expect after professional cleaning. As far as a warranty, nobody from corporate or this local franchise disclosed that until this post. Also they do not address the attitude after not getting additional upsells. Nor do they address why the whole job took less than an hour and why they did not move furniture.***************************** **********
